Poorly.

Even though I have relatively decent phone which can display 1080p videos no problem, I still prefer watching videos on my crappier tablet scaled down to 720p because it's still better to watch worse quality video on bigger screen than better quality video on smaller.

Really? Maybe I'm not on this side of YouTube but for me there are tons of great channels to watch. I'm more interested in science/tech/engineering/video games stuff. I watch Tom Scott, nilered, explosions&fire, Scott the Woz, 8bit guy, summoning salt, electroboom, captain disillusion, I did a thing, William Osman, LGR, Michael Reeves and plenty of more good, not clickbaity, drama free channels I'm watching.

People here annoy me here more and more with time, especially when it comes to reddit, where every post shitting on reddit is massively upvoted. There is nothing to read aside maybe c/all where active have something new maybe every day, and hot is filled to the brim with the same posts since there is no crossposting as far as I know. It feels to me that people are forcing themselves to like Lemmy cause for no other reason other than they hate reddit so much more. Will that stop me from browsing it? Not yet, but I have to browse reddit for stuff I care more about.

At least there is something to read, unlike on lemmy, where the most liked posts are bitching about reddit.

Looking at all feed cause none of communities from reddit migrated to lemmy.

Nah, it's the same level of stupidity but on smaller scale cause Lemmy is small.

I do. That's why I'm using lemmy and reddit at the same time, cause at least on reddit there are subreddits that I care about. Both c/all and r/all are depressing to me but I'm still scrolling through both of them. Btw I'm scrolling on lemmy for almost a year and I do follow some communities here but I always use all and I never switch to subscribed, also I'm rarely subscribing to the new ones. Am I the only one who does that?

I feel exactly the same about that. I'm always browsing all but I'm never joining any of those communities. I've join 3 so far but still I'm browsing all by default.

Yeah, Lemmy can in some part fill that void reddit left for me, but It's going to be tough for it to be mainstream. The thing that makes Lemmy in my opinion still niche is that subreddits centered and endorsed by popular franchises haven't migrated and I doubt they do it anytime soon. Maybe some day, but I'm not holding my breath.
