It's time for communities to take back ownership and control says company that just took away ownership and control from communities.

Just to note, they've bombed people in cars fleeing Gaza as directed by them as well. There really is no safe way to be in or attempt to leave.

What I love about this whole thing is that it's not just Sony's fault but they're getting all the blame because WB would pull all their future content if Sony bad-mouthed them.

Ugh. Doing the right and lawful thing is hard. We should just not do it.

He was pardoned by Trump which means he accepted he was guilty twice, once in pleading guilty in court and then when accepting the pardon which requires admittance of guilt.

If it's the video I'm thinking of, they can't win though. He only posted a video of the event which isn't him saying anything additional and police while working have no privacy

This is just typical bullying to remove content by threatening with lawsuit.

Ah, once again the conservative voices people don't realize that they are okay with hate speech because that's their political agenda but expect people to accept it because politics.

Tastes aside...

Reacher.
Bosch.
Invincible.
Legend of Vox Machina.
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Upload.
The Expanse.
Vikings.
The Man in the High Castle.
Good Omens.
The Rings of Power.
Wheel of Time.
Hanna.
Outer Range.
The Outlaws.
Jack Ryan.
The Consultant.
The Kids in the Hall.

There's a lot there I don't watch. I know there's Fleabag but haven't watched it.

Currently I'm mostly watching Korean stuff on Netflix as most English releases are pretty meh compared to Invincible and Reacher on Prime.

Darth Vader is a very bad guy and saving his son at the end changes none of that. He shouldn't be idolized the way he is by fans.

the Wisconsin congressman recently said, adding that voters should be the ones deciding on the issue.

They are. They voted you into Congress. Do you not know how the thing you were elected to do works?

Surely deepfakes will be just different enough to the subject to create reasonable doubt that it depicts the subject.

That's a major assumption. Do people really think a school board will really consider that when a student creates a fake Only Fans of a teacher? A random University or Company doesn't even give reason for denying an application when they see any form of online nudity? People are lazy as fuck and will just move on to the next candidate or let someone go to save their own image rather than that off the victim.

This is why I block political meme groups on social media immediately. It's just filled with future libertarians and conservatives.

Materialism is really big with a lot of people. My in-laws kids are spoiled rotten and only accept big brand name stuff because that's all their parents give them for Christmas and Birthdays. Same people who can't afford to pay their mortgage and are likely to lose the house in a few months.

I like present-less holidays. Better to focus on just being with people I find. Also helps if there's a lot of good, homemade food.

I would look into this. I use Sync for Lemmy and haven't been running into any 404 errors.

Nah. You can be anti-violence, pro-violence, or understand that violence is acceptable only as a means to achieving a desired result, oftentimes as a last resort.

Both the first and third options are not proponents of violence, but the third understands it is a necessity to achieve their goals at times. This is literally heavily discussed now as fascists try to paint anti-fascists as the violent ones when anti-fascists merely understand violence as the means to a goal in this case and not their normal path to a goal.

The same people who say without religion we would all be murderers.

Those can be skipped. New ones will probably be similar but not skippable.

Thanks for the reminder to cancel! Ridiculous price for the amount of content they put out.

That will never happen, it would destroy their search engine results that lead traffic to their site more than what they get from regular users.

If only it didn't require me to buy a newer iPhone or iPad to validate my account.

Same result in the end, IMHO, as it leads to reinterpretations based on the love of the character.

I think Alan Moore said it best: https://screenrant.com/alan-moore-on-rorschach-fans-watchmen/

I think the reason it gets praised is because it's very rare that poor games get as much time and investment into fixing in this day and age. Most companies will just move on to the next game or even use AI to write their apology letters and then abandon the game entirely.

Games are digital now, folks.

I was paying 69.99/year, that's the math I'm using. Don't know how you got such a bad deal.

Knives Out. I love watching every little detail of that movie, now I could do it all over again for the first time and find the same details again with additional rewatches.

Any job where you have to sell your image or show your work to get sales. Such as artists, news sites not part of MSM, and content creators. While there are various sites, none of them work as well as Twitter at sharing info and getting your info in front of new users.

I use it for podcasts. Those exist outside the normally restricted music playlist stuff.

In order to update my Apple TV, they tell me I have to have a newer phone.

Similar to: https://www.reddit.com/r/appletv/comments/ys4z35/apple_tv_is_now_unusable_without_an_iphone/

Now you can use it, but guess what is required for future app updates? Later OS updates. It's a trap.

What a ridiculous idea. People rely on Twitter for their job and aren't interacting with the politics of social media. They're sympathizers for daring to have a job that involves being seen on social media. Regardless of your view of Twitter, people aren't leaving Twitter and that means their customers are still reliant on it for a source of info on many content providers.
