This is such a weird thing for the dev to decide to die on. I understand, although i don't agree, with the "there are TWO genders" issue, and the desire for folks who are in that genre of people to avoid the whole thing, perhaps even forcefully. I don't understand why including women, one of the two genders they do approve of, is considered overly "political". How dare someone suggest girls might like tech? Ridiculous! I almost get the first instance, as a mistaken attempt to not support trans folks (which, again, is stupid anyway) but the constant rejection means they are CLEARLY just misogynists.

That makes more sense i guess, although even with that context as you said, it is still dumb. It's political in the US as well to use non gendered pronouns. It's generally aimed at hurting trans folks more than anything or anyone else. I could see the first time having it be a flippant meh response, but multiple times? Having had it explained clearly? Someone else has however said it has been fixed now. People can change, so my current plan is to assume things are better, cautiously, and hope they continue on a more pleasant path.

opera is just chrome these days with a thin veneer of opera junk on top. Brave is just chrome with adblock built in selling you crypto, Vivaldi is chrome with Vivaldi veneer, heck, even edge is just chrome with microsoft replacing google. Firefox is the last true remaining non chrome browser, which is terrifying.

repo is archived as well, since they're both Dylan Araps, and it appears he's opted to quit programming.

It will now. You just have to do some poking. You need vinegar installed (It's on flathub if you're a flatpak user.) Tell wine to use vulkan instead of DXVK (mkdir -p ~/.var/app/io.github.vinegarhq.Vinegar/config/vinegar/ && { echo "[player]"; echo "dxvk = false"; echo "renderer = "Vulkan""; } >> ~/.var/app/io.github.vinegarhq.Vinegar/config/vinegar/config.toml ) for flatpak again. And then boom. roblox running. no issues.

fair, it's been a while since i used it, but when i did it was utterly useless on anything except apple products, which doesn't make it particularly useful. Things may have changed though

things did change, they no longer even offer it for anything except apple products, so if you want to use safari on windows it's 11 years out of date, and any other OS is just a full on no. So yeah, i'd say we're back to firefox as the only real alternative.

Not exactly the same, but there's quickemu which does similar things.
