Die, Apple, please die.

Yeah, fingers crossed for UPS workers!

The Earth belongs to every being. No one is illegal anywhere here.

It sounds like you need more moderators. Think about it.

AFAIK nobody poured paint directly on art works, they've been protected by plastic covers etc. so the works haven't been harmed.

Yes, stop talking about reddit! This said, I changed and the removed all my comments/posts and deleted my Reddit account afterwards! :)

I install a custom ROM and use it until its life ends.

Go to Turkey, there are almost no fkn dogs on the streets. We visited it with friends and after two or three days realized that it's coolness and calmness is because of only few dogs around. However, there are tonnes of cats there, but they don't bark.
I was quite disappointed coming back from holidays to my neighbourhood, where everybody, especially after Covid19, have stupid, barking dogs.

Also, dogs would be less stressful if their owners had any idea on how to teach and train a dog. I'm all for a mandatory dog ownership license, so that you have to proove that you have knowledge and skills for training your dog. .

Negotiated settlement? GTFO of Ukraine now - that's the negotiated settlement. Russia doesn't want it. Instead, they are murdeering Ukrainian civilians every day.

I hope more will realize this.

I'm good. Helping in local community, which makes those global issues less touching. However I know, they're important, but I'd gone mad if I was thinking about the all the time.

(besides allowing foreign search of their home)

So it is harmful.

Same herd, however as there are less comments I feel more interested into writing comments, instead of reading.

Yes, I remember my Motorola Defy. I even accidentally tested it in my WC :P

It is difficult. Using corporate technology is easy and addictive. Not everybody is strong enough to escape from this comfort.

Seriously, for coding I use daily Fantasque Sans Mono, which is based on Comic Sans. I love it.

Cool, but remove this caps lock please.

Good question, everytime I use aeropress I think about plastic it's made of.

What's the number of its carbon footprint?

FYI: Denmark doesn't have minimum wage.
Guess what's the difference between minimum salary of McDonalds worker in Denmark vs USA.
Keyword: labor union.

One doesn't exclude the other. For sure, systemic changes are most powerful and freaking necessary right now, so yes - research your election candidates and vote!
But at the same time do everything you can on personal level. It probably means lots of sacrifices. Smaller and bigger ones. E.g. I can stop using car for most of the trips, however I have to sacrifice time, because pubtrans is not good at my place. But I still live in a city, where there is some pubtrans. What about people who don't have it in their area, that don't live in a city but in a countryside or suburbs? They have to sacrifice a lot more than me. Are they willing to? Would I be willing to if I was in their shoes?

Fantastic, every step is worth it!
Also, I wish you had someday a decent public transportation where you live no to be tied to the car.

I can't find words... what a dick.

To put some perspective, here in Eastern Europe many people are actually happy that we have light winters and less rain throughout the year. I would even say that global warming acutally makes this place more habitable (shortsighted, of course). EU is trying to push legislation to urge its state members for greener technologies, etc., however I personally think that the fact that it's not affected as bad as equatorial countries makes their moves not as radical as thhey should be.
The most affected are probably countries nearer equator - most of them poor countries which don't have that much impact on global politics. However, as you mentioned Canada, don't take me wrong, but the fact that global climate change touches rich and developed countries such as Canada, Australia etc., in my opinion is a good thing at current situation. Why? Because these are the countries that have global political power and the worse situation gets, the more they'll push towards saving the climate. No one will listen to poor countries.

Also Rentgen - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rentgen/
"Rentgen illustrates the amount of tracking scripts on a website and helps with formulating an email to the website admin, which can be a basis for a GDPR complaint. "

Nope, I did the same yesterday without looking back. I feel happy not to use this corporate crap anymore.

AntennaPod - my favorite app for podcasts.

Yes, Reddit was another corporate tool to make us addicted to.

xD spontaneity at it's finest

Alone coffee is fantastic! Sometimes with something to read, sometimes kot.

The option is clear. Russia must get out of Ukraine and stop killing civilians.

Thanks.
I know joinlemmy.org, but I'd rather have somebody recommend me something they've probably used.

They got attention, but it was 100% negative.

You need data to support this claim. I've seen positive comments to this situation, including myself.

So the media you read missed the key point of protests. You may consider chaing your news sources, because you don't seem to know what was the purpose of these acts. The key point was that the humanity and the art will eventually cease to exist and nobody will be able to look at anything anymore. It was a metaphor to make people realize how important art is for them and the reason they should start caring about climate crisis.

Funny that I haven't thought about cheatsheet, even though I use one for vim ^_^'

Haha, this is one and only one thing in my life that I don't want to change, never ever :D

You made me curious, I'll have to try it
