Lately, people have been posting really old memes (Advice Animals etc), but I do like that. It feels a bit like gathering all the parts of recent internet culture that were actually fun and using them to start over.
I can read this text in thirty seconds without having to find my headphones.
One of the main reasons I like using Mastodon for work is the fact that it's completely separate from the large social networks. It's only used by people who are committed to creating a new, better place. I don't think users of Threads (or Xitter, for that matter) would have anything to offer for me.
Firefox for Android has uBlock Origin (and lots of other useful extensions). You do need to set Firefox as the default app for YouTube links, but after that it works perfectly.
It allows for more precise content filtering. Say you hate Star Trek but you like the people on the Star Trek instance, you can now solve that in one click
Adding an option "Block all users from this instance" would be a good addition, though.
I hate how every AAA game has to be an open world sandbox with loads of extra features. I just want a good story and strong core gameplay.
One of the other advantages of LW is that it's run from the EU and thus has to comply with the GDPR. Given all the shit that Reddit pulled during the exodus, this may have been an additional reason for people to choose LW over one of the North American instances.
Or try having a relationship with your friend? A relationship is basically a good friendship with shared responsibilities (and sex, if you've got the time). You're almost there already.
Why? They're just recycling other people's content.
StarCraft 2 still looks amazing.
Also really unnerving for a game that literally can't rely on jump scares.
Pluralistic.net: Cory Doctorow writes really interesting posts about tech and privacy.
Couldn't they just have copied the locations a few times and changed up the doors and chests by hand? Seems like an easy fix.
You can open a csv in Excel and edit it like a regular spreadsheet.
Maybe you could create a community for blog readers.
Isn't the first issue fixed with Scaled sorting?
Tod Howard said the nuke fell after F:NV: https://www.ign.com/articles/the-big-fallout-interview-todd-howard-and-jonathan-nolan-answer-our-burning-questions-about-season-1
People were sharing all sorts of conspiracy theories about how Bethesda is trying to erase F1, 2 and NV from history before Howard did the interview, like here: https://www.pcgamer.com/movies-tv/in-which-i-mostly-debunk-the-latest-fallout-controversy-that-claims-todd-howard-used-the-fallout-show-to-retcon-non-bethesda-fallout-games/#article-comments
It's tiresome to see the wrong interpretation repeated, even after they set the story straight.
The timeline in the show only says "The fall of Shady Sands". While that was unclear, Howard did explain it, and it's ridiculous to keep sticking to the whole "they deleted Fallout: New Vegas from canon" theory.
Is LoR still alive? I used to play it for a few years until I just got tired of CCGs in general, but the Arcane season 2 trailer made me all nostalgic again. Back then (before the Reddit exodus) it seemed like the game would be taken down anytime soon.
I think you're confusing things. The Fairphone 4 and OnePlus 6 are both regular Android phones, but Android is based on Linux.
Edit: maybe you meant they're running stock Android instead if a custom version (with bloatware) like Samsung phones.
Other smaller Adroid brands, like Nokia and Motorola, do that as well. I don't really understand why people still bother with Samsung's bullshit.
A lot of symphonic metal bands are like that. On the top of my head, you could check out Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica and Unleash the Archers.
He's also in Webtoons: https://www.webtoons.com/en/slice-of-life/bluechair/list?title_no=199

Considering busywork, many online texts are unnecessarily long in order to fit as many ads in between as possible. I've encountered texts (even about academic subjects) that are practically unreadable if you don't skim them, because they're not meant to be read closely.
Everyone knows what it's like to look up information on the internet nowadays: most of your time is spent on scrolling or clicking past ads and scanning webpages until you've found a source that's actually useful.
I think a lot of people have been trained to skim online texts because they're designed explicitly to waste your time.
I think it's pretty standard in the EU.
It can be fun to look at the completion rate for achievements like "finished the tutorial", "beat the first boss" and "reach the good ending". In some games it's surprisingly low.
Which is?
Yeah, it sounds like a great starting point if you want to work for a local government.
Maybe we should ask spez to come over and help generate engagement :P
PC Gamer shows clearly who wrote the article, and generally they'll be clear about what subjective reasons they had for their final verdict.
Personally, I feel they are prone to buying into marketing hype, but at least you can tell when that is the case.
Personally, I feel they always intended the fall to be the nuking, but someone put the wrong date on the blackboard, and now they're trying to get the story straight again :P It does allow for some interesting possibilities, though.
For the record I would like more games like this one. I am the target audience for this game, I enjoy it, and if more devs made games like it I would be happy.
That's interesting. My personal impression was that, since the success of GTA3 and Skyrim, basically every AAA title has to be some kind of open world sandbox game with as many features as possible. Personally, I really dislike that; I want a tight narrative and strong core gameplay, and I couldn't care less for stuff like crafting and base building. (I'm also a bit saddened by the way Bethesda took Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 in. I want to play RPGs, not looter shooters.)
Some studios, like Larian and Obsidian, are still making these games, so I'm happy with that. I really enjoyed Outer Worlds, even though people were criticizing it for being too confined (or maybe especially because it was confined). I'm hoping to get around to BG3 and DOS2 soon. But it feels like we've had a drought for more than a decade.
So anyway, I found it surprising to read that you feel there aren't enough Bethesda-like games, because it feels to me like everyone is copying them. Of course, they are masters of their craft, so maybe the problem is that other studios just aren't any good at it :P
I use a Fiio M6 to run Spotify, by downloading playlists through my home wifi before going out. It's not the cheapest option, but I've had it since before the pandemic and it still works like a charm.
The device comes with an app to play MP3s, so that should work easily as well.
For me, it will start feeling "right" about 15 minutes after I start studying or working. You need a while to get into it, to get warmed up.
Yeah, it feels like everyday there's a new post asking "HEY GUYS SHOULDNT WE ACTUALLY FEDERATE WITH THREADS?".
You can use lewy.world to make an NSFW account.
Yeah, it's literally in the title.
