A stupefying proportion of what mass media and everyday people think they know about linguistics and languages is wrong. Unfortunately, they do not appreciate corrections.

The night of July 8 – 9 of this year. I am manic depressive in a fantastic way and the way I felt that night was the worst I have ever been; even the breakdown I had in college, though lasting for a longer period of time because reasons, wasn’t as bad as that was. By the grace of God I made it through. I was almost gibbering mad, and you might strike the “almost” depending on whether text messages and e-mails never sent count.

Then, at about 3:00 in the morning, it was like I went through the five stages of grief in the span of two hours, and then all was calm. Seroquel is a seriously powerful drug. It’s like the mania ran right into Mjölnir.

Linguistic elitists—for example, people who shout that "the Blacks don't speak good English" or who get pissed off that "I could care less" is an idiom that exists.

I was a linguistics major in college and, sorry not sorry, language is malleable and it changes over time. You can't stop it. Look the French—the Académié Française can try to legislate the language all they want, but nobody says la coussin de sécurité, they just say l'airbag.

Honestly…it isn't. Democracy is just tyranny minus time. For an example of this in America, it gave us Jim Crow.

Thanks to the elections of 2020 and 2022, I have legitimately become a monarchist. As long as there's some way to receive redress when it is needed and something like the Bill of Rights, give me a king or some sort of witan-like council.

I suffer from many and profound mental illnesses and maladies of mental health. My judgment is compromised (I was in a cult for a few years). People like me can vote. That's a problem.

Cancel culture.
