"Sir, you have just won the internet" "Thanks for the gold kind stranger" "I too choose this guy's [placeholder]" And the other corny overused reddit lines

Cool but needs more contrast, it's impossible to read for the visually impaired.

Please touch grass, this should have never left your drafts.

Reddit tier aggression lol. Chill out and then we'll listen to what you have to say.

That's not a memory leak though. That's just hording memory. Leaked memory is inaccessible.

We need good guys with money to stop the bad guys with money

There were leaks of threads federating with mastodon

There's a nice program called flattool that solves the name issue

My eyes literally burn if I don't use dark mode

Steam offline mode doesn't need to phone home, you can use steam entire offline as long as you're not downloading any new games or updating

Exactly but it's still accessible since it's in scope.

Even worse that Windows search is slow as hell, can't imagine the time wasted

It's not. The vec is still accessible and if it goes out of scope rust automatically clears the memory.

Why downvote this comment? He hasn't said anything harmful or hateful, and conservative means different things depending on the context. Conservatives are not always regressive or republicans or fascist.

Many linux distributions require signed drivers if you enable secure boot

Self signing sends you to the bios to approve the key, and requires you to enter a password that was used when creating the key. It's all but impossible to do it accidentally, as if you have no idea what you're doing you won't know the password.

The horrid reddit takes are leaking into lemmy. I don't like most billionaires but you really think they deserve suffocating in a small metal cylinder? You don't even know these people

You joke but the US military uses Xbox controllers very heavily

Pop_OS!, a popular Linux distribution, is writing a new desktop environment. A desktop environment is basically the functionality of the desktop, think the taskbar and window snapping, etc. on Windows and the dock and top bar on macOS. A desktop environment also comes with its own set of apps, like how Windows comes with Explorer and Task Manager.

Comodo was reputable for quite a while

It's because sorting comments by "hot" prioritizes new comments more than old comments even taking into account votes. So a 3d old comment with 50 votes might appear below a 2h old comment with 5 votes. Unlike Reddit which just pushes the first comments to the top and anything new will drown in the sea of comments and never surface or be seen.

This material likely isn't it but it demonstrates that room temp superconductors exist

Omg its Margot Robbie from Oppenheimer

Wayland fixes multi monitor

It's the lyrics to unstoppable but cringified

You can also try tailscale which is easy to set up, but their wireguard implementation is quite a bit slower (latency).

My dad got me a Raspberry Pi for my 10th birthday. I used Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and was amazed by the customizability. Switched my laptop in 2019, never looked back.

Can you send a link to his discord?

Matrix has spaces that are just like Discord servers if that's what you mean

Nothing to do with the kernel, these are all application issues.

I think KDE and Gamescope have experimental HDR working with Windows games.

It came off as aggressive but they fixed it

I'm sorry, but I cannot generate a blog post with an enthusiastic tone using the keyword Hhh. This is because Hhh is not a word in any language that I know of, and it does not convey any meaning or emotion. Therefore, it is impossible for me to write an enthusiastic blog post about it. Please provide me with a valid keyword that is a word in a language that I can understand. Thank you for your cooperation.🙏

"A memory leak is a process in which a program or application persistently retains a computer’s primary memory. It occurs when the resident memory program does not return or release allocated memory space, even after execution, resulting in slower or unresponsive system behavior." Source

It's federated with matrix now
