Would you mind sharing your lsusb output?

I never found out what's wrong with APT.

Openwrt Routers can be fun too!

As a genera rule avoid Nvidia. Also google the fingerprint sensor and wifi model before buying. General advice like "Thinkpads are fully linux compatible" is rubbish. Take your time to Google all idiosyncrasies of your desired model.

It matters since a top 3 distro will identify with KDE Plasma desktop. This is not very common.

If I use ubuntu I'm somehow forced to use them.

Even on Fedora the average user is presented with many flatpak results when they use the GUI software manager. Not everyone is technically adept enough to check the origin of the app. So it's kind of being forced on users.

All XFCE needs is better defaults in terms of aesthetics.

I've been using KDE on Fedora for work for a few years now. Several system upgrades staeting from Fedora 36. Recently upgraded to plasma 6 and fedora 40. It is rock solid and very reliable.

And i do use alot of widgets, 3rd party apps, flatpaks, etc.

Fedora took away one of my biggest hobbies namely distro hopping. It's so good i haven't installed another Linux for 4+ years. Before fedora I would never use a distro for more than a couple of months. It's beautiful, it's solid and it's vanilla. Everything is shipped as the original developer intended.

Fedora. Switched after years of Ubuntu and never looked back.

Not sure how unusual it is but I run openwrt x86 on a fanless Asus mini PC as my main router at home.

You can't go wrong with Debian or Fedora.

1.It doesn't support DoH 2.It's set per connection, not system-wide. If you connect to another wifi network you have to set dns again.

The same company that makes Google maps can't add search function to Google Authenticator on android (iPhone version has search).

Many thanks for the detailed answer.

I use ShotCut for work.

I'm a fan of anything that would make it easier for developers to bring their apps to linux.

I mean this is what a proper distro loooks like. Tailoring another distro for a true, specific purpose. Kudos to the team.

Solid Explorer suppports multiple cloud providers too.

Check your local LTE bands and then check gsmarena to make sure G52 supports them.

And to twist for switching between main and selfie camera.

Most of them need a server app to be installed on the other machine. This app needs no server or companion apps.

Yeah I think a good GUI for systemd will be super useful even for people comfortable with command line.

Sometimes you need an overview of what is running on the system.

Kwrite. I write a lot of text at work and I hate using word processors. I use this app for its excellent autocomplete feature. You type a word once and for next instances you can use tab to auto-complete. Very convenient.

I don't remember tbh. I installed it a couple of years ago but used it for the first only recently.

I've been using ShotCut for work for a while. It's been great. But eager to give this a try too.

Yeah SSH still works. Thanks for the suggestion.
