Now you literally have to login to access the tweets, or see any comments, which is ludicrous. It's not that generic public forum it used to be any longer and I don't understand how they are expecting to get any meaningful ad revenue there.

#Mastodon is gazillion times better, has a normal community, albeit with a smaller user base, but that is probably a plus, since you don't get so many weirdos.

Let me tell you the story about a stuck USB update on my work laptop.

I recently replaced the keyboard in my XPS-13 and in the process, of course, disconnected the button battery. When I tried booting into Mint I was greeted by some weird error, thinking my SSD somehow got scrambled. It didn't even show up on the list of drives when using a live USB... Little did I know that when the battery disconnected, my BIOS restored to default settings and I had to set the AHCI mode again for the SSD to function properly. 😅

I'm surprised with the amateurish design of the smart contracts.
