What I’m reading is that there’s another 53% left to lose, come on musk hurry the fuck up already.

“No word from Trump,” Johnson wrote. “Nothing to defend these people who worked so hard for him. Not a dime of his money to fund their defense. Nothing. He has thrown all of them under the bus to prop himself up.”

No waaaaay, shock pikachu face

That’s not the kind of ball-fondling I had in mind.

Dude’s training for his spelling bee. Let’s not over_react_.

Only if your bits touch.

As if all that is not depressing on its own, there just a little less than half of the world that believe it’s a hoax. While they’re being cooked alive. And continue to vote for politicians that perpetuate the idea it’s a hoax.

Not until they bring back the “never combine” taskbar option. What a dumb idea to omit it for years and not expect push back. You had one job Microsoft.

LGTM.

10/10 would approve PR again.

Thank you for sharing this. I felt this abit as I walked out on a job that paid handsomely but I had to deal with unrealistic expectations and a passive aggressive boss. I put in my two months’ notice and all my colleagues remarked that I looked like the happiest guy on earth.

I’m privileged to be able to call it a day and take a break, and I’m enjoying applying to various outlets with no particular rush to land something. I spend my days doing things I enjoy, going to the gym, spending time tinkering with my PCs, enjoying games as a patient gamer, etc.

Someday I also wish to follow in OP’s footsteps and retire to a rural community where I can see out my days in peace, without dealing with all the doom and gloom in the world right now. I’ve long mentally checked out of Earth and looking forward to sweet sweet forever-sleep.

finally gonna realize how fucking lonely I am

I don't know, have you tried checking out the hot singles in your area? /s

Yes 🤦🏻‍♂️ if you have 16 spreadsheets open on your 16k humongous ultra duper wide, it will collapse all sixteen windows into one tiny icon on the taskbar.

Can confirm. My adopted rag doll mix does this to my hands. Grab and flipper kick till submission. RIP my hands.

Big Weather man, they're part of the deep state that's silencing conservative voices by stopping them from going outside.

A little surprised that you're getting downvoted for this, but I suppose your opinion on what constitutes violence is a value judgment rather than a dispassionate definition. Ukraine driving out Russian invaders from their homeland using whatever means necessary, including violence to the fullest extent allowed by the Geneva Convention, is absolutely justified in my book.

You (and probably I) are going to get downvotes for this, but this is as reasonable a take as I've seen from any "conservative" so far. As long as you're not actively promoting legislation to curtail or ban consenting adults from privately expressing their love for others in the ways they feel most comfortable. I hope you're not against gender-affirmation therapies.

Don't threaten me with a good time!

See the Problem Statement section.

Interesting! I didn't quite see that line about the postgres password and pictrs API key having to match. So far, I haven't had issues with my instance with them being different values.

If Lemmy really assume by convention that the postgres password and the pictrs key must be the same, it sounds like a huge architectural WTF and massive security risk, so I assume it shouldn't be.

For postgres versions, my solution would be to host different postgres versions in their own containers if there's no other elegant way to avoid it. Then the URI should point to the respective postgres containers as necessary.

You leave my E89 Z4 alone!

That everyday we move closer to finding a cure for male pattern baldness.

Thanks for asking! I think this is more or less an architectural choice, and I was vaguely adhering to the microservice design philosophy. While spinning up duplicate services for each container that requires it has its advantages in terms of isolation and what not, I wanted to:

  • Be light on resource requirements whenever possible,
  • Follow industry practices as far as possible in case it becomes useful at my day-job (it sometimes does),
  • Train myself to be an amateur sysadmin, at least on my homelab.

Hence, all of my docker containers are deduped and reused whenever possible, and follow my own notations and conventions, as well as static and opiniated networking. It has been a really fun journey so far, but I'm also a glutton for punishment and sleep-less nights ;p

Have been stung by a caterpillar, of all things, in my neck when I was young. It was mildly interesting that the affected area was more or less the pill-like oval shape of the caterpillar. Wasn’t too bad but I remember it itched like crazy.

I have been trapped in vi and I don’t know how to escape.

Send help.

I would pay way, way too much money to see Eric Cartman do that.

Thank you for sharing this. I learn something new everyday, much appreciated.

Probably done in jest, but this reads like the 100,000,000th “agree?” bullshit post on LinkedIn.

Joke's on you, it's just me on the other end you're talking to.

Someone call an ambulance! gym jordan needs immediate attention for that sick burn.

I haven't had the deployment use case to get into k8s, but it is always something on my bucket list to pick up. I'd try my hand at it when the opportunity arises. There's not much to go on but some google-fu turned out this guide: https://codeberg.org/jlh/lemmy-k8s, seems to be fairly digestable on first look.

I’m almost afraid to admit, but I dig it.

There's likely a bottomless pit of gullible neckbeard R's that will contribute if he starts a gofundme.

I will always shill for Bitwarden and will die on this hill. Free for most features and for $10 a year you get TOTP generation and the integration is so bloody well thought-through. Insane value and two thumbs up (or three, if I move to Fukushima).

I have found my kin here I see.

Greek god names, Mission code names, uncommon colors, famous mountains, depending on the type of devices. I must have a hundred different ones by now.

This right here. Lifelong Android user that switched to the iPhone 14 and never looked back.

Edit: iPhone 13, not 14, my bad.

I lack the imagination for grandiose dreams. Instead all I ask is for everyone to be excellent to each other. I think the very nature of competitive survival goes fundamentally against that, so it’s never going to happen.

Ah, the ol’ Brainfuck, aka the new PHP of 2034.

Zero gang represent!

As per Hollywood, rip out the SIM card, break into two, hurl your phone to the ground and curb stomp it thrice. That should be enough sanitization.

That wasn't a federal case, was it? I think it was prosecuted at a county level.
