They didn't create Flash. They bought a company called Macromedia who had created Flash.

Did you just post a screenshot of Lemmy on Lemmy?!

We need a mad lads community here.

Lol no it wouldn't. The guy doesn't want to commit resources to fight this, since it's a hobby project and this sucked away his motivation to continue.

Unless y'all give him enough money to mount a legal defense, no amount of fancy tech will help.

While not exactly this situation, it has similar vibes to this: https://xkcd.com/538/

No it's part of survival. Turns out our stupid bodies implode if not used for a whole.

Oaf. Give your perspective for someone who asked for insight and immediately be told by people that your life/relationship is wrong.

I want to take a moment to just thanks for your reply with no judgement.

The most common advice for git is

commit early. commit often

Do not however, follow the same advice for relationships.

If they would also investigate Apple for forcing Safari on iOS

I would be so happy

Think of it like discord, but federated.

What's wrong with just using matrix?

Element does not require a phone number. Signal does, and yes I don't use it for that reason.

Yeah that doesn't work if you live in Seattle.

Because moderating can be a full time job. If you go for a vacation, have a family emergency, etc and aren't actively looking at your instance, then it's "left to rot".

If it's possible, doing the steps OP mentioned before going on leave will help the server avoid getting into a mess while you're gone.

Because they don't know better.

Not if Google's web DRM thing goes through

If you liked "It takes two", you should absolutely play "A way out"!

It's from the same developer and has a similar emphasis on co-op.

Also performance. Add-ons tend to be opt in, so they don't cause things to slow down for people that don't use them.

The Lemmy clients are fine because they interoperate on the same protocol. People can switch between them with ease.

This looks to be a new protocol that people will be stuck on if they choose to use it.

Oh. That makes a lot more sense

Guys why are we down voting a Twitter user for giving their perspective?

This thread started with someone complaining that it's baffling and they can't understand why people are still using the platform.

Google Fi. Not only do you get to hotspot, but you can order a free data-only SIM to share your data plan across multiple devices (like a tablet)

Apt does not have most packages you need anymore. You have to add custom repositories for everything. Which means you have to go to a website and still run a whole bunch of commands. Worst of both worlds. Other distros are not as bad, but between snap, flathub, etc. Linux package management is not in a good state at the moment.

Busy trying to get Apple to let people use a browser other than Safari at all.

To quote the mighty GabeN: "Piracy is a service issue, not a price issue"

Because there are way more available games than time for a lot of us

Damn, that's an awesome way of representing population density!

Seems to be somewhere between 0.5 and 0.7 billion, which due to a quirk of the English language are technicallybillions, making OP technically not wrong ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I think the point of the article is that it's supposed to be more mutual.

In these examples, one partner spends a ton of time and money on self help books, therapists etc to deal with things and the other partner simply uses them. Doesn't sound like balanced/sustainable relationships.

He says so in the readme

So, bukkake 打っ掛け can also refer to a dish made by pouring broth over something, much like how “pussy” in English can refer to a cat.

That, and also because NYC has already banned right on red.

Like responsibilidade said below, it's built on top of WireGuard and it's the best overall VPN solution I've ever seen.

As someone who uses Arch as their daily driver: DO NOT use Arch if you’re not already very familiar with the Linux ecosystem. It’s very powerful, but not at all beginner friendly.

The rule is actually:

Congrats. You won the genetic lottery and was awarded some top tier eyes.

A lot of people were not.

Damn, this comment thread was a level of enlightenment I was not expecting this morning 🤯

It won't go down the same way today. Government had a much bigger spine back then.
