For me, it just depends on the subreddits. The bigger ones naturally include more a-holes. Over 11 years on there, it did get worse over time. On the big subreddits I simply read the headlines and ignored comments. Smaller subreddits were where I spent my time, typically helping people with medical advice, camera advice, computer, etc. Humans in large groups are stupid, so I just never thought much of it I guess.

It's all they've got left. It's the end-stage cancer, the result of a 30+ year media driven outrage machine. Roger Ailes, ironically, killed the GOP as a viable political party.

And the Dems are idiots about gun safety anyway. Let them have all the AR-15s they want, just don't allow magazines- force hand reloading when the thing is empty. Don't ban handguns, ban handguns with magazines. Slap insurance and license requirements on owners. Don't take them away, just make them far less deadly and far more expensive. That side-steps the "take away your guns" crowd entirely and passes the court challenges too.
