I’ve never heard of anyone eating rice with ketchup before.

Nah he put his hands on her first. I think she is well within reason to throw a punch at him for that, especially given that he came at her aggressively, calling her racial slurs.

Dude I didn’t realize it was meant to be multiple movies when I watched it and was so pissed when it just ENDED right when I was most engaged in the story. Fuck now I’m mad about it again lol

Padilla went on to say that for a few months after Jan. 6, he was not as remorseful as he is now, referring to social media posts that called for violence. “Remorse is rarely immediate, sir,” he told Bates.

Everyone’s sorry once they get caught.

I see a headline like this and think, “oh fuck they’re definitely developing that, if they haven’t already.”

The same thing you’d do if they were working in an office. How does being remote change this?

Perhaps it’s because an explosion at a hospital, no matter the cause, isn’t really something to “xD” about.

There are a lot of us here that would like to change things.

Maybe she wanted to demonstrate what you said.

They have to somehow justify their insane commercial real estate expenditures. Empty office buildings are a bad look.

It’s edgy to disbelieve in something that has no factual basis?

Nope. Donald Trump lost the popular vote by like 3 million in 2016. More Americans voted for a different candidate.

Same. They killed Apollo, so I dipped.

If you can’t eat tacos without getting a stomach ache, I feel bad for you

Yes. Because a lot of powerful people stand to make a shitload of money off this conflict. The longer it goes, the more weapons it requires. The more weapons it requires, the more money they make.

Yes

Yeah that election was stolen. Two words: hanging chad

Every time I see/hear someone say this, I am reminded of the phrase, “You cannot reason someone out of a position they were not reasoned into”. It also doesn’t help that the republicans in power have shown us, over and over, that they are not acting/arguing in good faith.

Having a reasonable conversation and trying to remain rational when faced with those two factors is very difficult, at best, and puts you at a significant disadvantage, at worst.

That being said, I don’t really have any better ideas other than to stick to my ideals and try to be rational/reasonable.

I would say it’s cooler to be a good person for the sake of it rather than being a good person because you fear hell or desire some sort of reward (eternity in heaven).

Looking forward to playing it this week

May I ask what, in your opinion, makes him so great?

This would require some sense of personal accountability, which is clearly missing amongst many of our so-called leaders.

This varies state to state, but it’s likely that your LLC registration (including its members names) is public record. In that case, the state didn’t sell your info. Anyone can view that info and use it to contact you.

This sort of thing was rather startling to me when my wife and I bought our house. Apparently property sales are all public record where we live, so we started getting mail from random insurance companies within a month after moving.

I think a lot of dems have decided it’s time to play the same game the republicans are playing. A sort of “if they won’t play by the rules, why should we?” mentality.

I don’t know if I like or agree with that, but I can certainly understand why someone would make that choice. That’s what I was trying to get at with my previous comment.

I eagerly await the next movie in the series

What would Russia want with him at this point? They have bigger fish to fry, like the war they’re losing in Ukraine.

What makes you say that?

You’re right. Saying “I’m tired of seeing so much shit about Musk” is the same as “Musk did nothing wrong and it’s actually everyone else’s fault that he’s an asshole.” You’re too smart for me. I can’t believe I thought that I’d outfox you and everyone else here.

Yeah that’s totally fair. A billionaire’s actions are generally more newsworthy since they can exhibit much more control of the world around them than most people. I guess I’m just tired of this asshole and want his antics to just stop. But maybe that’s hoping for too much.

Huh? I really don’t understand where all this came from. I’m not trying to “control the internet and the rest of the entire world”. I asked if we could all ignore Musk rather than give him so much attention all the time. If you disagree, that’s fine. Clearly, a lot of other people here do also, so I suspect that we will continue to see articles posted about anything and everything Elon Musk does. And that’s fine. That’s how this whole platform is intended to work. But that doesn’t mean I also shouldn’t express that I am tired of seeing “news” about the guy and would rather it stop.

I downvoted it and also felt the desire to express my opinion in a comment. What else is the point of a comment section if not to comment on the content of the post?

I find it a bit ironic that you left a comment to “whine” about “whiny” people when you could have followed your own advice by voting on my comment and ignoring it.

Elon Musk being an asshole is not “news”. Can we please just start ignoring that piece of shit instead of posting every god damn article about him all over Lemmy?
