The game was not great, at least personally. It wasn't bad, but it was just BL3 in a different dress, with less interesting story, less interesting characters. Also the DLCs were insane cashgrabs, not even close to the value BL3 DLCs had.

20 minutes? You are lucky! Me and my friends wasted entire afternoons of gametime because of insanely aggressive and skilled pvp crews. That's the reason i quit the game, i just cannot handle to waste many hours every time a pvp crew targets me.

Awesome if you are looking for an arcade experience. The mission variety is good, it encourages you to try different aircrafts, the unlocks are "skill tree based", the soundtrack is often amazing. The multiplayer seems dead tho, so buy it for the campaign.

I've played with both basically, because the jump mode is a bit confusing sometimes, and it doesn't work if you want to walk backwards. The VR game i played the most (after beat saber) is Elite Dangerous, because sitting in the spaceship actually makes things better, even when dogfighting

The only reason that comes to mind to use x264 is to avoid transcoding for older clients. Also Firefox does not support HEVC so it always needa transcoding (at least on Jellyfin)

Sadly some clients (nvidia shield tv) does not support AV1 :( right now I'm encoding some AV1 content I have back to HEVC just because of that.

It may be beneficial on some devices that requires low latency (like streaming to a VR device or remote gaming). I can see the difference in latency from wifi5 to wifi6 when remote gaming.

The behaviour you described is very similar to what Blazor is. No frontend framework, and the DOM updates are rendered on the fly. I'm using it a lot and it's very good.

That's my case, i'm a backend developer, more specialized in databases than websites, so i choose blazor because it was easy for me to become proficient fast and build nice and fast apps.

Also i usually build Enterprise apps, not public facing ones, so my target is still good for blazor. I know there are methods to scale better with blazor server (like using signalr on a separate service, outside the webapp).

Also we use DevExpress components, so basically all UI controls are done for me, so my dev time is even lower.

I'll look at htmx, i'm curious at the tecnical differences and why it may be lighter than blazor.

I have the quest 2 and imho VR has 2 problems:

• a lot of people suffers from motion sickness, and that totally ruins the experience
• most of the software is unispired shit or just bad games. I've tried a parkour game for example (don't remember the name) and it was absolutely crap, it was impossible to do what you wanted, because controls just didn't work how they should

Love that they fixed the broken colors in desktop mode. It's annoying when setting up emulators.

But i still have the charging light issue that should have been fixed in firmware 116 :(

Me too. Just bought a Steam Deck recently and I'm playing a lot of games from the ps2 era... And I always find myself stuck to "complete every level with 5 stars" or "grab all collectibles" instead of focusing on good content (or just clearing the game normally to start emptying this backlog...)

Maybe it's nostalgia, but for me the PS2 - Gamecube era was absolutely the best.
