That's a great tip, thanks! I knew about collections to import extensions from desktop but not that one!

I tried it but I got tired of overheating and constant fan spinning, I tried to go the vanilla route then with mbfan (or whatever it's called) and I was never able to reproduce a level of quietness comparable to MacOS so I went back.
That's a great tip, thanks ! Do you know if I can upgrade my regular Windows 10 to this version without having to uninstall everything ?
I never thought it could be possible to do that, thank you so much for this and making YouTube a better place.
If someone knows how to get rid of shorts in the search results I'd be most grateful 👌
I tried several and I very much appreciate Quod Libet
That said I'm interested in trying others' suggestions 👌
May I ask why DDG is out? I feel out of the loop right now
This is fantastic news, all the better for the planet 👍
I quickly tried yesterday and I could do it seamlessly, it worked very well. If you go to the preferences there's a option to download the languages in parts of 100-200MB/each.
I never thought I'd write something like this but by pirating it and downloading it on our hard drives, we come closest to what we used to know as 'own'
Does someone know what service do they use to translate pages?
If someone has a way to poison their AI training by adding junk along my regular files I'm interested. Sadly I use it at work and I cannot decide to migrate to another cloud so I better sabotage them
I don't want to use decimals in my everyday life
Don't you use decimals for prices already?
Thanks but
We are targeting a first Alpha release for early adopters in 2026.
We need an alternative before that
I'm Swiss but I reply because that's an interesting topic 👍
Yeah please ride on the bike lane, I'm shocked to see how many people ride their e-scooters on the sidewalk
Great, I'd be glad if they would consider shipping to more countries as well with localized keyboards
I am because I feel it's great to be a part of the growing numbers of the platform. Everything is a bit rough around the edges and it gives it a 'far west' feel
Come on mate, it might have been the case at the inception of Lemmy but now there's interesting content everywhere, even in your bait post 😁
Very impressive! That's a bummer that you need Chrome to make it happen though :/
I mostly use MacOS, my biggest gripe is how they are gradually making the whole thing look like your iPhone. I found it impossible to justify. It's basically dumbing down the UI.
Thank you for your quick answer, I understand! If that's something deliberate I'll abide and that'll do.
Have a nice day!
Lockpicking (along with the ranking system) would be great, plus it was the nicest, most friendly sub I've ever been in
You can scan its content without getting thrown into trouble, I use an app like SecScanQR which returns the raw content of the QR code, that helps to assess if you're getting into fishy stuff.
That's a lot mate, how many weeks off can you get with this per year?
Hi,
Thank you for offering an alternative.
The interface is pretty barebones, even for a "keep it simple" app.
I'd be wise to consider making those tiles smaller, having huge boxes containing 45% decoration isn't the best I think.
Else, I'd add sync or access to calDAV items as soon as possible.
Cheers
I'm not sure when and what you were trying to send but I use it since at least 7 years and never had anything like that, maybe you should give it another try someday 👍
Thanks that's a super great idea!
EDIT: Fired it up and it works brilliantly on a mobile, I'm impressed! I wish I had that idea before, thanks mate!
That's a very solid advice! I started dual booting all my old macbook with Fedora KDE and another on Pop_OS and they are doing ultra well.
I see a lot of folks on bandcamp who sells cassettes for instance
I'm a bit surprised by this, looking at common recommandations for PC laptops Lenovo is mentioned 90% of the time then alternative manufacturers like frame.work. What would be your recommandation then?
My old ass computers sadly can't handle h265 well so I tend to stick to h264. Moreover, my beamer cannot handle 4K or HDR so that makes more sense overall
I use atuin
(link) all the time
Seconded, also bring those laptops to more countries than those who're available now.
This is the only thing that I've been missing on Signal, that's great news!
I agree sadly most of the content is there already
Sorry if my post wasn't clear, I meant my PDFs like my files which are stored on my computer, but that doesn't mean I have all the source files (far from that), I'm talking about all the PDFs that you get from others, like from work, suppliers, etc
Damn 12K GitHub stars? Why am I discovering this only now? I need to refine my discovery habits
Thanks for your feedback, I do agree with you and I don't do it for fun either. That said, I often get the need to do different tasks and I wanted to know if I could skip the need to use a computer for this.
How? I'm interested too and that would be a great revenge on all the time I lost doing those
Thanks, I didn't had the time to notice!
Thanks! So I understand that we have to manually install the xpi from here 👌
