It's still being developed:
Modlog says: Rule 2 - use !askandroid for technical support please
I have no idea, I'm not a mod here and I don't remember seeing that thread.
Avast is virus itself
sh.reddit.com
seems to still work
Isn't Microsoft Rewards similar?

Forum users tend to prefer long-lasting discussions, which is not the case on Lemmy/Reddit, where threads are forgotten after a few days.

Bromite has not been updated since January.
One of the old Bromite contributors forked it: https://github.com/uazo/cromite
What would be good privacy-friendly alternatives?
If it's a success, you can probably say goodbye to getting any single player DLC like what happened with GTA Online.
It has 374 thumb ups here:

And was suggested here multiple times:

From README:
The current focus is on implementing next-word suggestions, which has become complicated/hit a snag and is taking more time than originally planned. Updates will come when this issue is resolved. Thank you for being patient.
If you want to be able to add custom engines directly from the settings, in about:config
add browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh
and set the value to true
, after that you should see Add button in about:preferences#search
Edit: nvm, there doesn't seem to be field for suggestions...
Edit2: There's also https://mycroftproject.com/, where you can try to find the search engine you want.
I usually just turn it and the vibrations off for most games, those get annoying after a while imo.
I'll consider an iPhone when they get rid of the giant notch and allow sideloading and more browser engines.
about:firefoxview#syncedtabs
takes you there if you have a way to set it as new tab.
And lemmy.cafe's user count seems like it is probably just filled with bots since there's barely any activity compared to it.
Out of all of them Iceraven has been my favorite simply because of its support for desktop extensions.
You can use more extensions on other ones as well:
Works on Firefox Beta, Firefox Nightly, Fennec and Mull.
I don't like that huge button either... If they want to have button for it in the homepage they should change it to be a small cogwheel icon next to the private mode icon or something.
It doesn't let you set custom one at the moment, only those that you can see in the picture.
Probably same reason as here: https://lemm.ee/post/35007837
It's not in the official F-droid repo
It was meant for testing one of their UI redesigns.
Maybe Lemmy should start adding NoAI meta tags to posts and comments like some other websites have started doing for images? Though I doubt it helps that much.
They really should add the option to set custom one, especially on Android all of the currently available ones look so bad.
Added it
