Putting phone numbers online is a bad idea...

Also buyers beware: make sure that this offer is legit!

Bubble sort. It's the only one I really understand and know how to implement.

/s to be sure

The planet itself will survive this easily, the inhabitants on the other hand...

In highschool we had a maths teacher who always did the birthday paradox as a kind of opener in the first lesson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_problem

He bet 10€, that there are 2 students with the same birthday in the classroom of (abt) 30 students. The class was allowed to work out, if they want to accept the bet, or not (exchanging birthdates was not allowed ofc).

Usually the students think, that it's nearly impossible, and accept the bet. Little did we know, that the probability of success was around 70% for the teacher.

It's r/CuteFemaleCorpses. At least that's what the ppl are talking about and where the link leads to.

Maybe she wasn't able to start collage sooner... There are many reasons for why s1 is at collage at 29.

Although in this case, it was the EU who wanted to put a backdoor in every encrypted messenger... Thank god it looks like as if it won't happen!

Sooooo, wavelengths (λ) become longer when something moves away (redshift) and become shorter when something moves towards you (blueshift).

For a red flag (λ0=610nm) to become a green flag (λ1=549nm), it has to move towards you quite fast. But how fast is 'quite fast'?

Using the formula

flag_velocity / speed of light (c) = difference in wavelengths / starting wavelength

we get

flag_velocity = (610-549) / 610 * c = 61 / 610 * c = 1/10 * c

This means: the flag has to move with about c/10 = 30 000 000 m/s = 108 000 000 km/h = 67 108 100 mph. Yeah, that's quite fast.

(Disclaimer:

  1. use info on own risk

  2. values for λ were chosen in a way to make calculations easy. There is no info on what shade of red or green the flag is. The final result will be about the same.

  3. With speeds at around 10% of c, I should use the formula considering the relativistic doppler effect... However, i wont. Thanks.)

The map does not make any mistake!

I didn't crunch the numbers, but as far as I see, most of the linux growth comes from the Steam deck, which runs a Linux OS.

This could also be the reason for the decrease of OSX, because more other, non classical computer, devices are included, which automatically reduces the share of Laptop and PC devices.

How manure.

Care about how this a-hole blocks the sidewalk? Yes!

Care about accidential scratches or dents when walking around that pickup? No!

Samsung Galaxy S5 had everything that seems impossible today already 9 years ago:

expandable storage, USB3.0, headphone jack, swapable battery, ... all while being IP67 (30 mins in 1m depth) waterproof.

Somehow we are not able to do so anymore... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If only Russia left Ukraine, everything would be much easier....

3 years of security updates is unfortunately very little...

That's exactly why testing is needed. You can calculate a ton of things but you only know through testing, when and where things fail. Then you iterate and test again.

Why not let ppl chose what they want to use?

Personally I use both, wireless and wired headphones/speakers. Sometimes Bluetooth is better, sometimes the headphone-jack is more convenient.

Is this so difficult to understand?

What would those certain addons be? Just so that I won't do anything illegal by accident.

All my printers at work and at home are brother now. Never had any issues and setup was satisfyingly easy each time.

Albeit, I only bought laser printers (BW and Color), so I don't know how fast the ink empties or dries. However, the printer toner last quiet long, even the knock-off ones.

I remember it like this:

Finals - 1 match - 2 participants

Semifinals - 2 matches - 4 participants

Quarterfinals - 4 matches - 8 participants

Round of 16 - 8 matches - 16 participants

Round of 32 - 16 matches - 32 participants

In every round, half of the participants are eliminated and the other half moves on. Also the number of matches is reduced by a half every round.

I'm not a racist because as a boy I was too slow when I was gokarting...

Now get rid of it all together!

I see so many ad posts on lemmy now... They have to do something about it. This one is particular bad tho...

They get eliminated at first sight!

So did you have to pay all of this? (~$14600 if i did the maths right) Or can you negotiate?

Statistically speaking: no.

One friend of mine says the same all the time... In fact, he's the worst driver I've ever driven with! In reality, I am much better and even exponentially better than the average driver.

To add further more: often also 810 or 820 numbers exist, where a phone call might have a toll up to 10 or 20 cents per minute respectively. With 900 numbers you usually dont know, how expensive they are, when only looking at the number.
