Which android version are you on? I am having the same problem on Andeoid 13 and seen many posts mentioning 13. I'm thinking could this be specific to Android 13 ?

Yea I am having the same issue here. Clicking on the image or link doesn't toggle read for a post and I keep seeing it again. I hope this gets fixed in the coming release
