This was a thing or is still in Swiss, once every 4~weeks with the Stuff that makes a Layer. Makes sense to encourage this to Kids, can lead to Bad Infections later in Life.

Oh No! Anyway

I am still waiting on 21/9 TV to buy...

I had this exact idea but for old Consoles: every PS4 could be a perfectly capable x86 Computer, 8GB of Ram and a AMD CPU, enough Power for Office and Web for a long Time. Only Problem the Software.

Reddit would stutter after a while of scrolling the frontpage on my 8gb Laptop(new reddit with ublock), but run endlessly on the Infinity app on phone. Lemmy has no infinite long frontpage and gets refreshed with every new page. Had no noticable stutters on lemmy, but i use it mostly on the mobile Browser.

Startpage.com for now

i did a regular install of mint or ubuntu, i don't remember onto an Usb-Stick once(ssd's were expensive back then). remove the Internal Disk first to make sure not to change it. And then Install Mint regularly and choose the Usb-Stick as Drive 1, You will need 2 Sticks 1. The Live-Usb 2. The definitive Storage Medium. Keep in Mind that Usb-Sticks are not as reliable as a regular Disk, so make sure to keep important stuff in a Backup too.

Is today Opposite Day ?

blocking the stuff you dont want (ads and tracking ) with dns blocklists and adblocker can help a bit. linux has also the option to compress the contents of the ram with Zram. i have not used it myself yet.

The car and the tablet have Bluetooth?

here is a Article about something like this: https://itsfoss.com/ubuntu-persistent-live-usb/ , Its written for ubuntu , but mint is mostly ubuntu. This site has some good Articles, i use it often.

Can you reach the dockercontainer? i have used docker only once (without any Proxy settings )but i had to specify which ports from inside go to which on the outside, something like: "docker run --name docker-nginx -p 80:80 nginx" https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-run-nginx-in-a-docker-container-on-ubuntu-22-04

You don't need a Own Domain, you can use a dynamic-dns-service to reach your server from everywhere, even if your ISP changes your ip. I use dedyn.io. (its free) here is a turtorial: https://desec.readthedocs.io/en/latest/dyndns/configure.html

Thats almost 10% rounded lol

danke srf, geili sieche

Almost every device has a larger srcreen than the previous one.

If you need more ram but not a lot of CPU a used thin client can work, i use a HP t630 since 6 months now with only nextcloud and storage, has 2 ddr4 slots and 2sata m.2(not Nvme) for Expansion. Again its a 4core Pre Ryzen AMD chip so don't expect any Wonders. https://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/hp/t630/ this is a good side for this and other thin Clients.

Edit: according to HP the idle Power consumption is ~12w
