NYC - Heavy Metal, Cannabis, Yankees, NY Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Nets.

I'd definitely choose to die that way over asphyxiation or dehydration.

that those users are moving to ad-free sites

When I check my ublock origin for this site, it says 0 blocked trackers and ads out of 0%. That's so refreshing. I don't think I've seen a website like that in decades.

The enshitification of everything is underway.

It was over a long time ago for me when I realized that most AAA games were all the same. Might as well wait until they're $20 anyway.

Here in NYC last call is 4am. Whenever I travel I always find it really weird that most places in the US close so early.

"Why can't I find any matches" - This guy

I went from Digg to Reddit and now I'm looking for a new home. I'm really liking what I'm seeing here!

Yea the mods have to enforce the rules of the subreddit. But there's nothing stopping them from changing the rules. Malicious compliance!

I feel like that entirely depends on the subreddits you're subscribed to. For me I have an /r/WTF post at 13, and then not another default sub until... an /r/AdviceAnimals post at 47.

While I love Lemmy and will continue to contribute to it. My reddit experience feels very much the same as it always has. The key was to abandon most of the large subs a long time ago.

Ted Cruz is booking a Cancun getaway as we speak

Reddit used to have that with a browser add on called Reddit Enhancement Suite. They cut off access to the downvote numbers a while ago. I've missed it ever since.

Wholesome!

Just keep in mind it will hide posts you submit, so if you want to check on your own OP you have to unselected it again.

There really needs to be independent nonpartisan redistricting across the country.

Or they'll double down and say it's the colleges that are wrong, drop out, wonder why they can't achieve their goals, blame the "other" (it's currently immigrants and trans people), and repeat the cycle of hate.

Bet they keep voting for politicians that make it harder for them to access healthcare. It's okay if they die, as long as one of the people they hate dies with them.
