Having kids. I love my kids, but if I could go back and not have them I absolutely would. Never have kids until you're financially comfortable. Fuck, the struggle is fucking real.

They use a Mac mini somewhere to route these messages. So you're logging into that Mac mini with your iCloud credentials. Sounds like a privacy/security nightmare and creepy as fuck.

People actually change fonts in their IDE? I've always used whatever the default is and never even thought about it.

4th year in college in a 3rd world country. Final exams. Last exam. About to graduate after an agonizing year of microbiology. I don't remember exactly what I did, but he saw me and thought I was cheating off of another student. I was not. Starts yelling at me. I start yelling back. Fails me on the last test on the very very very last day of the last year of college and I was about to go on with my life. I had to repeat the whole year because of him. College is different in my country. You fail one class, you fail the whole year. I still hate him to this day. When he dies, I'll go shit on his grave.

I've just built a PC last month and it's where I'm going to be from now on. I'm so sick of console's going the extra mile to squeeze every last penny out of us with their PS+ bullshit. I'll just use steam for the new games I like playing and emulate all the old games. It's been so much fun figuring things out. Better picture. Better FPS and the mouse and keyboard are much better than a controller. I can't believe I've missed out on PC all these years.

No one should buy a laptop with every single fucking component soldered on. Fuck Apple and every company that does what they do. Get yourself a Framework laptop or one from an actual Linux vendor like System76, Tuxedo, Starlabs......etc. That way you're able to upgrade your shit down the road when you need to. Apple shit is you get what you get.

Gnome is getting prettier by the day, I'm worried that, one day, it'll make me cheat on KDE Plasma.

This is way too long and complicated for just a bios update. Dell laptops actually have a "update bios from flash" option in the boot menu. So all you need is a USB stick formatted to FAT32, copy the bios update file (that you download from their website) into it, boot into boot menu and choose "update bios from flash". I have done this so many times and even made a YouTube video about it.

I want this book

Still sexy as shit. I might actually give it a shot and daily drive it finally.

Ok, this is a very good cheat sheet

Man, I remember using this app and checking too many boxes and then it borked my system so bad that I had to reinstall.

If you're running Linux, you'd understand why so many people are excited about that one feature. I sure am very excited. PDF editors on Linux (as far as I know) suck on Linux.

Lol. Right after Microsoft added sudo to windows.

It is a sad reality that I hate even thinking about. I love these little bastards to pieces, but the money thing is killing me. I'm in a spot where I'm "too rich" to qualify for any government help and too poor to be able to afford it on my own.

I don't think this is Lenovo specific. I've used for a dell and an hp laptop. This is just "how to find the serial number for your machine on Linux"

Mom is always scary. I don't care how "gangsta" you are, those fucking flying flip-flops WILL get you.

I don't get it

This gave me a chuckle. Lol

Been using AntennaPod for 2 years now. Amazing app.

I use the default breeze light on plasma. Most themes are broken or just too much. Breeze is great

I love OnlyOffice, I just wish they'd fix the UI scaling on hi res screens. It looks weird on my 4k screen.

I'm waiting for the PineNote to be out of the development edition so I can get one. I do have an older kindle that I jailbroke a while ago and disabled OTA on. It still sucks, but it is better with KOreader.

I used a better tool, I just deleted my account permanently

Omfg!!! Lol

Wouldn't that hit the GPU performance? I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't become a personal data farming tool.

Fairphone

Genuine question, is enaulating older systems, with ROMs/ISOs you get off the Internet, considered piracy? No current systems, only older ones. Newest one is PS3. Is this piracy?

Edit: ok, thank you, everyone. I emulate very old games because it's a nostalgia thing. Games I played when I was very young and I wanted to play them again. I don't emulate anything new as I have a huge collection of physical copies of games I played on newer systems like the PS4.

Why are they "cost cutting"? Are they going broke or something?

Fifa games suck anyway. Never liked it. PES/ winning eleven all the way.

They do that with editing software. If it's a still image behind them, then they would need to resize the video to a corner then layer the image behind. It all happens in the editing software. It's done differently on each program. First layer can be the image where they drag it to stretch along the whole video then the second layer is the video. If it's another video, then they use a camera that's pointing at them and at the same time record their desktop (most people use OBS studio) then take both videos and layer them on top of each other in their editing software and resize the video of their face and put it in a corner. Again, it's all done in the editing software and it's layered/done differently on each software
