It's super sad to see. We used to complain about kids being fed digital "contents" as pacifiers, but now I constantly see older people super fixated with their phone watching tiktok videos. 😔

I don't know much about this guy but it sounds like he's a piece of shit

This is why we need more public transport everywhere in the world. Get idiots off the street, but enable them to go to the doctor, school, work, and everything else, so we have less idiots in the future.

We should rename it to the South East Asian Sea, SEAS for short.

They asked you if you're not racist, as if it's normal to be racist??

It's sad to see how people get manipulated to the point that they can't understand that even a natural population growth without immigration can cause a housing crisis, if we don't build and maintain the houses. And immigrants come to work anyway, which provides a disproportionately high value to the economy compared to what most of them are paid.

Not sure if I can be helpful but lately there are several manufacturing sectors trying to reduce their footprint in China and move to Vietnam or India, for a mix of reasons (rising labor cost in China, geopolitical tension implying potential supply chain disruption). The US promoting their relations with Vietnam means there will be trade deals (free trade maybe?) which will incentivize manufacturers to move their production there, potentially away from China.

You can start the switch early to get used to it 😉

The trickle down meme economy.

There's someone who uses 7 monitors?? That's...impressive, but in what case is a 7 monitor setup useful?

I get your feelings. An arms race often lead to, well, wars. 😔

However we also need to stand up to bullies.

Good, and keep it up

IMO her argument is that we need to rework the system, providing more people with better access to public transport so everyone can reduce their damage without needing to sacrifice their day to day function, so it's really irrelevant whether our damage is more or less in comparison to hers.

This year I went scuba diving for the first time! Also, I did my first job switch, been good so far but I constantly doubt my abilities. Also first time daily driving linux recently 😉

Physical activity. Going to the gym or going for a run. Watch movies/series. Lazing around while telling myself that it's ok not to be productive.

I work hard but my new company seems to respect work life balance so far. So far I've been working more on the tip of the screw, but it depends on the goal of the project. Almost all of the features of the screw can be modified to meet the needs. A big part of the work is to verify that a change or innovation can be produced at a good quality level.

Screw R&D engineer. It's weirdly specific 😅

I'd like to try it out one day, for now I don't think I want to do that kind of investment in my setup. It sounds glorious though to have so many monitors.

I agree, it will probably work

See, mental health is important, depression is a serious matter.

Jokes aside, every country will now have to face increasingly unpredictable catastrophes...we need to quit the oil and gas industry for real. Really hope that they will be held accountable for real 😔

Yes true, my perception is biased to a local housing problem where younger people can't afford apartments while old rich people own so many.

Regardless, it's still sad that immigrants are being blamed. Even urbanisation means that they're citizens of that country, and they caused the problem themselves.

Probably through a mix of well trained AI and a good pinch of denial.
