Nothing, they're not genuinely interested in a discussion. They're just trying to pin you with a bad answer and will keep moving the goal post until they think they gotcha.

It's easy to believe you're invincible in your twenties. Or "later me can deal with it.". As that later version of me, I'm not a huge fan of that earlier version in a lot of ways. It's fine, I'm who I am for what I went through, and I'm righting the ship. But the more cans you kick down the road, the more you have to deal with later and the harder they are to deal with. Physically, mentally, financially. It's ok to try to live life freely, but definitely be aware of this and consider kicking one less can every chance you get.

Yes, in practicality, this is it.

I feel like this is exactly what the most disruptive members are wanting. Maybe I'm just being cynical and this is way off point, but it feels to me like they want a non-functioning federal government. This entire shit show is the plan. The wrench in the gears.

She was certainly trying to pull it off in that theater

You might get differing answers due to the payment portion of the scenario, but here's my 2 cents.

No, there's nothing morally wrong here at any level to me. This is legally ok as far as the ages go, pretty much everywhere.

As long as there's no power dynamic being abused, and both sides are consenting, go for it.

Too bad he didn't consider that an investment in his future and not just explicitly that show.

Actually could be the breathing asshole of a parasitic fly larvae. Put some petroleum jelly over it in a thick layer and see if whatever it is crawls out.

Looked like either a rupturing cyst or maybe a skin tag. I wouldn't think it's anything serious but I will always recommend having a vet check it. Imo it's likely nothing but I'm also not a trained vet.

I'm hoping this is wonky "lost in translation" where they mean how to ask them out. Otherwise, yeesh.

The NHL forgot 70% of their players are under the age of 30 when they made the policy. Of course there'd be players forcing the issue.

Seconded. If it's marked nsfw and blurred, it's my choice to view at that point and I don't give a shit. My bad for playing roulette and losing if I clicked it and regret it.

It's more likely than you think!™

I just don't respond if I'm doing something else or calling it a night. It's ok to set boundaries by just taking your time to respond. You don't have to respond immediately and it's not really healthy to expect them to every time either. Anyone that can't handle that and stops responding just isn't going to be a match for you if you need to have that kind of break from responding. I'm definitely opposed to the white lies, I prefer someone I'm communicating with to at least respect me enough to be up front about it if they say anything at all, but I don't need a reason if they don't respond for hours or even a day or so.

I think you've got part of it right from my recollection and experiences, but not quite the full thing. I think Obama's success actually lead shitty people to lash out more, which brought trump to power, which emboldened those shitty people to stop hiding it and actually be proud and display it. I think the racism and shittiness was always there but people kept more of a lid on it. We just aren't able to pretend it isn't who we are more broadly anymore.

There's an entire instance for such things, though I don't know what more is there beyond mostly porn. Lemmynsfw.com

I'm kind of naive and gullible. I'm a little embarrassed I hadn't considered this perspective. It seems so obvious now that you point it out for us.

Even during the breaking up, try not to console them or make them feel better. I don't mean be a jackass. Other comments have covered the overall approach very well already. I just mean trying to help them feel better about it is really just for you. They're going to and are allowed to process it however they're going to, and you give up a right to try to be a part of their healing when you break it off.

Be kind during, give them space if you actually want to remain friends after, and let them process and heal how they will.

As I've gotten older I've actually preferred to be broken up with over being the one breaking it off. It's hard to do that to someone you care about but isn't a good fit for whatever reason. When it's broken off with me I can say so be it and start moving on and not have to hurt another person in the process.

Take the the interstates, pretty much every gas station along those exits will be built to accommodate your situation. I drive from Colorado to Wisconsin and back a couple times a year on I 80 and see a lot of similar setups to what you'll be doing. It'll be fine. You got this.

I had a very similar experience, I was driving across Nebraska and stopped in North Platte for the night before I found out what happened. Nobody was talking about it at the restaurant I ate at, brewery I stopped at, and the next morning the little dinner I ate at full of old man locals. I overheard talk of farming, expense of running their farms and businesses, but not one person mentioned Trump or the attempt. I don't know what's going on but it felt like I was on a different plane of existence from where the attempt happened.

Yeah, specifying "base salary" seems pretty disingenuous. It's all about the add-ons.

I'm beginning to wonder if micro-plastics aren't going to be our leaded gasoline. If they really do cross the blood brain barrier, I can't imagine that they wouldn't be impacting us long term with cognitive and behavioral variances.

This is word for word how I could describe my migration as well

To go with this, never go back. Once it's done, move on yourself. The memories will likely skew toward the positive as time goes on. That's ok, bit remember you broke it off for a reason and let go.

Do you snore, possibly excessively? Get drowsy and have to fight nodding off while driving? Do meetings send you to a seemingly impossible fight with staying awake?

Much of your description describes me before I had a sleep study that diagnosed me with sleep apnea. I've been using a CPAP for almost a decade now and it was a life changer and possibly saver.

I'm not a medical professional, so take this as you will; I would recommend talking to your healthcare providers and see if a sleep study might be in your interest.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think so. I love the thought and wish there was, though. I think no matter what you do, it's still information about a potential user/customer and still tells someone looking at it about you. "Oh, we have information on about 4% of the population that wants to actively subvert our data analytics.". Obviously that's made up, I didn't bother trying to even guess what a potentially realistic number might be.

Again in my opinion, the only way to provide no value to data analytics is to not be a data point, and good luck with that. Best I've been trying to do is disable targeted ads anywhere I can, reset my identifier ids regularly on things like android tv where I can, and try to blast cookies anywhere possible. I don't know if it even makes a difference or just makes me feel better

Herbert H. Hoover.

I'm not a health expert, take this with a grain of salt. I'd be disappointed it was rusting, but also mostly shrug it off and keep using it unless it gets bad and flaky/scaley

Traffic. I25 north from Denver. 3 hours from when I realized my fuck-up to the next possible exit thanks to a flatbed truck across all 3 lanes trying to remove a white suv that was somehow high centered perpendicular on the concrete median with no visible damage.

Abortion should be legal until the offspring is 18. "Son, this isn't working out. Let's go for a ride.".

I did flu, COVID, and Tdap this year at the same time since I can't remember the last time I got a tetanus booster. Would make sense to have a combo shot. I'm not paranoid about vaccines, so if I'm getting one, I may as well get the other.

That triple shot combo was a motherfucker though for the next two days after.

I think they're saying that they just want to be able to hide the post once they've seen it so it doesn't keep popping up, not to prevent from seeing it at all.

Edited to add: I Guess I didn't really address the point specifically about not studying and struggling with the tests. That was me the entirety of my education, from the first grades I can remember all the way through my 8.5 years of college with 2 degrees. I just didn't care, especially when the homework itself wasn't graded. I'm not sure how to help on that point specifically, other than to say that you're not alone, and I made it with similar issues.

It's really difficult to stay motivated for as long as we're in education. Do you know where your current standing is specifically in those two courses? Could you go to those two professors and voice what you're facing and see if there's any recommendations they can provide you?

It's ok to fail. We don't want that to be our normal state but it's ok. It's ok to be tired and struggling with motivation. A big part of learning is learning how to adapt to new situations and not just learning a particular topic. College is about both and then some.

What year are you in? Some of those early courses are meant to get you to the next step, and some (it's been a while for me, maybe it isn't this way anymore) seemed like they were intentionally designed to get people to quit. Weed out courses, so to say.

One of those weed out courses I went through was a huge attendance first level physics course that it seemed like nobody was doing well. About 1/4 dropped it over time to avoid the failing grade.

In the end, the professor did a flat full 2 grade "curve" for everyone that stuck it out. I don't think his intent was to teach, I think it was to break those who would be willing to drop. I don't like the concept of those courses, and I don't even know if they exist anymore, but that's also something to consider if the ones you're failing in have that kind of feeling to them.

Keep trying, you're not a failure just because you've failed at something, and sometimes this is part of life. You've got this.

Careful, the bot fanbois will come to tell you to block it and then your comment will be deleted anyway

I can't tell if the original post is an elaborate hoax with a link that never worked in the first place or if something is legit happening. Why would there be lines to vote already? Maybe I'm naive and early voting is that difficult in Georgia that people are lining up now. I don't know, my ballot gets mailed to me by default and I can just walk up and drop it off any time up until polls close on election day. This feels like it's a post to sow discord but 🤷‍♂️

I'm not adding to any conversation really but this is pretty much my answer too

I prefer its big sibling the Boulevardier.

  • 1.5 parts bourbon or rye
  • 1 part campari
  • 1 part sweet vermouth. I prefer Carpano Antica

Express an orange peel over and garnish with it

"you were kicked out of their house because they didn't want you there."

"Fuck off, they only let like, 10 people in ever. They keep everyone out!"

Solid argument you've got there.

I think all the judges they have in place from lower courts on up to the supremes shows this is a dangerous belief to maintain.
