Because you need considerably more resources to grow meat than you need to to grow a nutritionally equivalent amount of vegetables.

Some places are insanely polluted to the point where you wonder how a whole company could be so braindead and essentially poison themselves.
A place not far from where I live had a chemical plant which just dumped loads of chemicals on a meadow for years. Now there are ground water pumps installed there which need to run 24/7 so that the chemicals don't contaminate nearby rivers and hence the rest of the country.
When taking samples from the pumped up water you can smell gasoline.

Come on, do your thing french people! We know you want to!

Very likely. Just recently saw a bunch of generated Disney movie posters of ethically questionable movies.

Only if other countries follow, but with such a small market it's easier to just abandon the UK.

Oh look, it's the daily "Firefox outperforms Chrome" post...

The title of the article is quite the exaggeration. It just replaces the character models with lego mini-figures, nothing else. Still a funny mod, the article is just doing it a disservice.

On mobile? Use Firefox.

On pc? Use Firefox.

That really depends. Offices are usually low temperature and very high pressure environments.

As expected. And now they'll publish their actual policy which will still be pretty bad but less worse.

It's always funny to me when someone talks about how awesome the tech behind recommender-systems is and what complex problems had to be solved to make it work but in the end it's still just absolute garbage.

I was incontinent, but necessary.

Uh, okay then...

From my experience many religious people have questionable moral standards.

They're up to 14 now? When did that happen? They used to be just 5.

so this post is now "hot" because someone decided to necropost here?
The filter needs some serious work. I keep seeing way too many ancient posts on "hot"

Since when do HP and Lexmark make decent printers?
I would think there's already too much competition so it's not a ver lucrative market to enter.

just use "ks" instead, e.g.

  • miksing
  • eksit
  • galaksy

I frequently forget, because I rarely need my age in my daily life.

Ah, nice. CIA doing what they do best: adding fuel to the fire and spreading mistrust

I mean, that kinda makes sense? An engine should be cheaper than a whole car, shouldn't it?

Maybe you got scammed? Mine definitelly have an orangey/brown tint, though it is very subtle.

The surrounding areas with higher gravitation pull away the water from that spot.

yeah... I think this exactly the kind of stuff that annoys people and discourages people to join. Now that they moved here they get told they did it wrong because they chose the wrong instance... despite everyone first saying it doesn't matter and you shouldn't think too hard about your choice because "federation, yay!"

If they only get the hashes supplied, Apple can't tell why they're bad files.

not sure that was the problem

Because it's better to support a diversity of web render engines instead to avoid a situation like back in the days with IE.

Didn't Amazon and Google want to build their own AI accelerators to avoid such a dependency? What happened to that?

With that title I was honestly expecting something more linux-specific, but the concepts described here pretty much apply to all modern OSs and their file handling.

Trying to blame is indeed of little help here right now. But it also worries me that such a basic vulnerability exists in the first place. It's like the #1 rule to not trust user-input. I hope this is the only such trivial one and we won't wake up to someone exploiting an SQL injection next.

that's just part of RTX remix and somewhat the point of that tool. After all you need to get proper RTX materials in there and why not upres the assets as well while you are at it?

they could just block the alternative frontends. Then we'd need an alternative platform.

And the one made at home is probably better too. Starbucks coffee kinda sucks, especially at that price point

That kind of depends. ANNs are basically utilizing the branchless programming paradigm, similarly to what you would do when programming for a GPU

502 is a server issue. Any difference you might have noticed is purely by chance. Or the other apps conceal server errors better.
In general clients can't do much about 5XX errors.

What was wefwef supposed to mean anyway?

I've seen a picture of plastic-wrapped peeled bananas...

Hah, I fit the description perfectly. Not too sure how to take that. ☹️

Funniest thing was when I registered on a website which parsed the \0 sequence and hence truncated the password in the background unbeknownst to me. This way you could circumvent the minimum length and creare a one character password.
