The problem is that you will 100% kill innocent people. And there is no way to reverse it later on...

This game was one of the very few I was waiting so badly to come out, and was so so disappointed with the launch. Still hasn't convinced me to try it, although it has come a long way

She said they slept on mattresses on the floor of the tunnels, ate the same food as Hamas fighters and received regular treatment from doctors during her incarceration.

“They really took care of the sanitary side of things so that we didn’t get sick,” Lifshitz added.

Each of the five hostages in her group received their own doctor and there was a paramedic present who supervised medication, she said.

“They were very generous to us, very kind. They kept us clean,” Lifshitz said. “They took care of every detail. There are a lot of women and they know about feminine hygiene and they took care of everything there.”

Well, that's nice of them at least. Treating them like humans while they are hostages

Almost all alternatives use OpenStreetMaps. I prefer Magic Earth but all of them are similar enough

The main issue is OSM. They lack many addresses (varies A LOT among different countries, some are fine) and POIs. Please consider contributing yourself, because it depends only on volunteers!

It is SUPER easy. Just download StreetComplete on Android to add multiple different info in a very easy way (or just house numbers which are the most important info) and EveryDoor for POI editing/deletion/addition in just a few clicks. And don't worry if you don't input something because you aren't sure as long as what you enter is correct

Years*

They are making phones probably for a decade now

I just miss the sport games of 10-20 years ago. They were just fun. Of course they weren't perfect but we didn't care. Now microtransactions have ruined everything....

Bluetooth is awesome for many things still. And it keeps getting better. Just not better enough to be optimal for high quality audio

Facebook declined because they fucked up too much with the UI/UX and with how things are shown on the feed. People hated watching only useless posts by users and groups they don't even follow and finding their friend's posts days later when the algorithm decided to show them

Instagram has become more shit in that regard too. But reels really saved it

I need a special adapter to charge my phone simultaneously

Also, I can't connect it without an adapter to my car, my headphones or my home cinema stereo

Java definitely does not suck. There is a reason it runs virtually everywhere, from SIM cards to most servers of the world through Spring

The company is called 2K. Also, it is their "brand" since forever e.g. 2K5 for the 2005 one

Depending on where you live, 2G may be the only option in some places due to much better range than all other generations. Also while driving for example, your phone may need to connect to a 2G base temporarily if there is a gap between the range of the 5G ones, so you may get calls dropping randomly

It is surely less accurate than it was presented to be a decade ago. I have searched for info I knew it was online 10 years ago, and most of it is either lost entirely, or Google is useless nowadays and can't find it anymore

It won't, but even triple money don't make it any better!

The situation is REALLY bad. It cannot be extinguished now, it burns a very dense and tall forest in a mountainous area. They just try to minimize property loss etc right now, although neither does this go well...

Expected, since Hisislicon doesn't have access to advanced process nodes, like 5nm equivalent and 3nm equivalent. They are stuck at 7nm equivalent.

For me, it is impressive they are only 2-3 years behind at this moment.

It's not good. This affects only apps that have been abandoned for various reasons, such as dead developers, now defunct companies, developers that lost interest etc. There are tons of still very useful apps and of course tens of games that I already lost access to when I bought my S23, and now this means even more apps and games (and this list will only get larger with every new update)

There is no reason to artificially break new apps. Could you imagine if Windows 11 could run only software made in the last 5 years? It would be a nightmare. After all, no new apps can be uploaded to Play store if they don't target a very recent version

Thought the same. "Well, TheOnion must be out of ide-"

Having done the same trip (years of Fedora, then OpenSUSE) I'm super happy with my experience

A NYE about a decade ago, I went to my then GF's neighborhood to spend the night together. At around 5am we left the bar and I wanted to head to the bus station to get the first bus of the day about an hour later. My GF proposed to go to her home to sleep for a few hours and return later. Didn't want to go because her mother would be sleeping but she insisted.

A couple of hours later I went to the bus station. It was completely missing, a drunk 17yo got his father's car with 2 friends, crashed into the station, killing both friends and a girl waiting for the 1st bus to go to her work. He survived....

My only issue with Spotify Wrapped is just how inaccurate it ALWAYS is, comparing it to my Last.fm account

I don't agree. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, it is surely an improvement to the previous ones and plays very very nicely. Try the demo for yourself

Everything feels very fast! Now, only major issue to me is the broken federation. With some magazines I can see 2-3 posts er 10 (out of let's say 10), in other magazines with similar activity no new posts for the last few days

They are, and they are. But the vast majority of people love them. Short stupid videos in an endless feed that helps them kill hours each day. I never watch them so I am not fed all the time thankfully in the 5-10 mins/day I watch my friends' stories

The language has nothing to do with what you describe in your last paragraph. There are a lot of reasons what that was happening, and using Java is not one of them. Just the openess of the OS and how it was written was enough to justify such a difference vs a closed OS with a fraction of the possibilities

Also Android is not using just Java, otherwise you would be able to run any normal Java app without "hacks"

In a past study, I saw that even microwave-safe plastics leak harmful chemicals into the food

I have been running OpenSUSE Leap on my home server for 3 years, and I moved from Fedora after many years to OpenSUSE Tumbleweed on both my work and home (gaming) PC. I am super happy!

I really hoped we would get it on Android as well. You may need it just once in your lifetime but it could be a life or death situation

You have not used Thunderbird in a long time I guess. It has changed its UI a lot

Anxiety sweat make you smell worse than temperature regulation sweat btw. Also try to avoid polyester fabrics. Maybe try merino t-shirts as well

If it works with Google/Android Find network, then I'm very interested

Different platform (software) but they still talk to each other, so same content. Check kbin.social

I had the S8+ and moved to an S23 Ultra, the difference is huge to be honest. The S9 surely is better in that regard thanks to the extra gb of RAM, but still you will see a big difference compared to an S24 Ultra (which doesn't mean that you phone isn't perfect for your needs as is)

Finally! Have been using Obtainium for a while and was wondering why F-droid didn't have auto update as well, to the point that I moved almost all apps to Obtainium...

OpenSUSE is awesome. Just note that Leap 15 is the last version of Leap and details about its successor are still unknown. But if you don't mind the older kernel etc, it will be supported until December 2025, so plenty of time for them to have a robust successor!

Have you tried going back to the 30 Hz one?

I live in Athens, and the oldest home still standing is about 500 years old (start of 16th century)

Thank you for posting this. This is such a great story!

Just started lessons myself for it. Looks easy enough for basic gesture like the one I want to do!
