How long have you been moderating? Just ask me whatever makes sense.

They may have made the page purely for SEO to grab a few people considering downloading GIMP.

That's not what people got shouted at for. It was for conflating it with a common cold.

I've done my best to summarize them here with my opinions, but the article is also a quick read.

AB 1013 - bars and clubs must offer reasonably-priced or free drug testing kits.

Excellent to deter people trying to spike someone's drink. If you're worried, just get a quick test without having to even leave the bar.

AB 12 - caps residential security deposit at 1 month's rent, or 2 month's rent if the landlord owns no more than 2 residential rentals with no more than 4 units.

A+

SB 244 - requires manufacturers of electronics/appliances over $50 to provide product parts/tools/instructions to repair devices.

A+ Louis Rossmann's dream?

SB 478 - requires all mandatory fees/charges to be stated up front (no undisclosed fees such as in concert/sports tickets or lodging).

Curious what the companies will do to get around this, but it's a good start and I think should lead to a decrease in prices overall as companies have to compete through advertising.

SB 553 - employers must record violent incidents and have training on violence prevention.

They didn't have to before?

AB 28 - 11% tax on firearms/ammo.

This goes toward the "Gun Violence Prevention and School Safety Fund" which I googled and found out it goes to programs to help prevent gun violence and enhance safety at school, as well as mental health services. Overall this seems like a good thing if it works.

SB 274 - public schools with a student in "willful defiance" can't suspend/expel them, but must implement intervention programs and support for those students.

I guess this is good too?

AB 230 - public schools must provide free menstrual products in school bathrooms + more instruction from grade 3+.

Makes sense, because kids can start their periods from 10~ but some earlier.

Major League Eating said that it had gone “to great lengths in recent months to accommodate Joey and his management team, agreeing to the appearance fee and allowing Joey to compete in a rival unbranded hot dog eating contest on Labor Day,” but that they’d been unable to come to an agreement.

Lol this is hilarious because I still remember what Major League Eating did to Kobayashi in 2010, but with Joey they're bending over backwards to accommodate him and still lose. Serves them right and hopefully they'll lose a lot of money over their poor treatment of their talent.

I, too, love when I get to prevent an entire country from invasion by an evil force, but only when I get to take credit for it. Someone else stealing my idea for peace is just as bad as someone else stealing a joke I said first, if not worse.

That's exactly what someone who didn't want to pay their monthly antifa membership fee would say.

Believe it or not, straight to hell.

They made a movie about that once with Tom Hanks. Guess these companies never watched it 😏

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?

Yes. But as soon as you realize you've left out important information or someone else adds important information, it's important to accept that into your reasoning. It seemed like you were fighting back at them in your replies, and doubling down on your initial claims which you now know weren't complete. You weren't wrong with the information you had at the time when you commented, but it made you look stubborn by not being willing to accept new information or learn. Just my two cents as an outsider.

Great show. It's a shame we never ever got another season.

Nobody on the left was saying the polls were fake because they skewed left. They were saying the polls were unreliable because they skew right toward older voters who answer phone calls and polling questions. But also regardless polls aren't votes and a lot of people sleep on politics until immediately before voting.

Jamie Oliver really got me into actually cooking good stuff. Gordon is great but I never want to cook after I watch him.

While I think it will have that effect, Musk isn't smart enough to have thought about it that deeply.

Dude that's totally a scam. I'll do it for only $399.99 but I also need your mother's maiden name and your favorite book for some reason.

Yeah they put ads on that little screen you use to pay. Also it never has any receipt paper loaded.

They should be covered by your insurance. You can just go to any pharmacy at any supermarket to get it.

No point in paying for Prime Video when other services like Tubi or even Pluto TV offer free movies/shows with ads built-in. When I realized that it was easy to cancel.

I was burned too bad with Cyberpunk 2077 that even though Starfield seems to be all right, I'm waiting until after reviews come out before I pick up a copy. That just means I wait a few more days to reduce the risk of more pain.

As someone who's been following Unity's development since 2.0, this doesn't surprise me. They've always struck me as a company that doesn't care about developers. And while all companies are trying to make money, there's a difference between "pay for our product because we need money to operate" and "we love Adobe's subscription model and want to outdo them - and we will squeeze you as much as possible." Have a little heart, Unity.

It's like trying to end an ant infestation by just spraying your kitchen table.

Unrelated but Metamucil is actually pretty awesome. I love spicy food but my stomach isn't so good at it, but if I take fiber beforehand I'm usually okay. Although since it's just fiber you can usually just get the store brand to do the same thing.

Way too much RNG since too much depends on what I ate. I'll probably stick to Flush Any% until the update.

It's free real estate.

Actually it'll be super easy. Barely an inconvenience.

How many miles? Would you say, ten million?

Receipts have a time stamp, so they'd have a record of the actual price you paid. If you paid in cash and didn't get a receipt, and if they make an exception for your return, they'd base it on when you said you bought it. You might be able to get one or two exceptions depending on who's working. With that said you'd better make a purchase of thousands of dollars and pay in cash to make sure to get at least a few dollars back for your efforts.

You definitely need a straw for a Slurpee or Icee because otherwise you can't go KhHHHhHhhHHhhuhHh with the straw against the lid up and down making that horrible sound as you try to drink the bottom and the top flavor consecutively. Can't do that without a straw.
