Dunno why people down voted you for asking, but personally while I love some of their games and the creative direction they take their consoles - they just have way too many anti-consumer practices.

From recent memory, they've DMCA takedowned YouTube videos of people playing modded versions of Breath of the Wild before Tears of the Kingdom released. This isn't the firs time they've DMCA takedowned videos they didn't like, including videos showing emulation in the past. Their online service, despite costing money to play games online, primarily relies on peer to peer networking when their console has a very weak networking chip, meaning most online games have to account for very poor connections. They have been very aggressive in shutting down websites distributing Roms for games that no longer have a way to be accessed or played. It stinks that you have to pay for their online service if you want any form of save data backups, and even those are iffy because they really don't want you putting it on more than one console. Their handling of joyconn drift has left a lot to be desired. They replaced them... Sometimes... And when they did you had to wait a while and usually the replacement would develop it, too.

Thankfully, there are many people who don't think like this.

It unlocks characters, outfits, and hard mode.

Some people are downvoting you but you're right. No other application is this all in one package. My only issues with input devices have been Windows' fault, too. I don't like Discord's closed ecosystem and data privacy concerns, but the feature set is unmatched, especially at the amount of polish they have and their price.

Side note, people please stop using it as an alternative to a proper forum.

Least down bad Lemmy user

They only accept the highest quality content to train AI with

What's different here is that it's an option and not the only method.

Sometimes I like a post so much I hit the upvote button twice

I read somewhere about someone who took a zip file, copied it and zipped it with the copy over and over again until the file size ballooned to petabytes. I would consider that sort of pointless use of storage to be abuse.

How did they have access to a gun?

I wouldn't call the steam deck the greatest piece of gaming hardware ever. There are many very well equipped PC handhelds out now. The difference that Valve brings is that their software is impeccable and they have a good history of supporting their hardware with up to date software for many, many years.

I have a plastic screen in front of my phone screen so I read the plastic and not the agreement.

Seems a little extreme for a browser switch

Ty mods!

Hopoo, the original devs, were already making this and got to finish working on it after the purchase. It adds new content and refines the gameplay of the original (movement feels better and the game just generally plays better) - it was also designed with modding in mind.

Let them poison AI with bad grammar.

Check out the dev stories from PalWorld, they bought a LOT of USB drives haha.

Eh, guess I'll drop my review.

The game seems good and mostly well made, with the best hand-crafted environments I've ever seen from Bethesda.

But when it comes to the core gameplay loop, I feel like I've played this game already and I got bored very, very quickly.

It truly plays like Fallout 4 but with more menus and loading screens in order to fast travel somewhere. There is space combat, but it doesn't feel compelling to me. Click on bad ship until kaboom.

You want to fast travel? Drop some things, you can't fast travel while encumbered. Please undock first, we have some quest events tied to undocking and we don't want you to miss those. Please fast travel to the planet before landing at a location, we have some quest events tied to the space around planets and we don't want you to miss those.

Again though, the game is generally well made and I can see a lot of people truly enjoying it and the many gameplay systems you can dive into like settlement, ship, crew building, and side questing.

The slower-paced looter shooter gameplay loop just really isn't for me right now. I'd rather play Fallout or Borderlands.

Note that I haven't commented on the story. I don't feel like I've experienced enough of it to really give a good opinion on it. I've played 4 hours.

Going by the recent firings, I'd wager he's in on it.

If I'm reading this patch note correctly, they didn't actually fix it using too much battery, it seems they fixed android over reporting the battery used?

Let people enjoy things smh

Unironically, that could save lives

Some of the water is inside the map and is interactable, the rest is prebaked

Most people sit on the toilet, but this is a judgement free zone

You can't possibly know for sure that they aren't pushing/biased towards specific types of content that may sway opinions on purpose. They can absolutely push propaganda to non-Chinese populations. It doesn't have to be blatant, it's best for them if it's not.

I almost wanna bet that he's gonna be the only one with the feature still on

The comment you are replying to linked AI and automation. It makes total sense in this context.

It's a shame that the remake of this game removed some of the best aspects of it.

I forgot about this segment, thanks for bringing it up.

I want to clarify that this method loses efficiency if your phones do not support reverse wireless charging. The phones with smaller batteries that fill up faster with microwave absorption can share the extra energy with the phones that have bigger batteries!

It's one of those things you just have to accept about this kind of social media and, in a sense, Lemmy users specifically. I'm not too surprised that parts of this community are in the camp of disliking things because they are popular and don't fit their specific wants/needs. Many people are here because they dislike the more popular Reddit, after all.

In a more general sense, most people when they don't like something are neutral about it, and those people won't show up in the comment section, so all we see are these more "extreme" opinions.

I enjoy watching LTT videos, but you won't find me jumping into comment sections saying I'm a huge fan and there's no way they could have done something bad because I like their channel, for example. Getting the independent audit was a good idea, and I'm glad they went through it. I don't think the defamation comment was necessary, but that doesn't mean the rest of the message is worth ignoring.

I go back to a few almost routinely.

  • Mount and Blade: Warband (with and without mods)
  • Rocket League
  • Crash Bandicoot 2&3
  • OpenTTD
  • Pokemon (The mainline ones are all basically the same game lol)

For M&B and OpenTTD, being able to rely on my old knowledge of the game to succeed feels satisfying since they both have a steep learning curve.

For RL and Crash, muscle memory taking over the majority of play is relaxing.

For Pokemon I just have a crippling amount of nostalgia

Oracle cloud will stop things if it goes out of the free tier.

If you add it as a non steam game you can play it in the regular interface, too.

Bro you should fix your alt dns

Can we also get Kingdom Hearts on PC but not on the epic games store?

Yeah, I'd watch it

waow

Heads up to anyone using this, the $5 coupon they offer for an in app purchase didn't work for me. Don't make any purchases that depend on it.
