Lemmy is growing but we need to work to make easy to allow reddit mods to setup instances and fund them

This sucks as I am a member of many Lemmy.world subs

All it takes is one crazy guy. If you think about the size of reddit it makes sense that there is at least one who is willing to harm others

She should sue the state of Indiana. I'm sure nonprofits like the eff, ACLU and freedom of the press foundation would be willing to help

Well no but I am concerned that is will become a pattern. Trump has already stated that he will prosecute biden if he is reelected. I doubt he is going to be reelected but its possible a republican controlled Congress should decide to take biden to court.

I disagree with the trump trials. They are politically charged and set a precedent of arresting your political opponents. I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty but we should consider the bias

I'm not saying that presidents should have a get out if jail free card. However the trials feel a lot like left vs right to me.

First off I would like to thank the beehaw team for there excellent work. I doappreciated your work.

However, as someone who has conservative values, I disagree about your statement of neutrality. Your choice to use the word "minorities" clearly demonstrates that you have a political agenda. Furthermore, you use the term hate speech without actually defining it.

With that being say, I agree that we should not allow offensive or harmful language. I think all people deserve the right to not be targeted for personal choices or characteristics that they can not control. I also think people should be respectful of ideas even if they disagree. Targeting someone because you don't agree with them should be prohibited. It also comes to my attention that many alternative social media sites end up becoming home to antisemitic and racist ideas. I support free speech but it can get out of hand quickly. Beehaw should work to have a clear system for moderation that is fair and can be protested in the case of bias. There also should be a transparency report by users in order to keep the administration honest. We must not let this community be tained by harmful speech but we should try to address it with compassion.

How does moderation work in subs? When I report something does it go to the mod of that sub or the admins of the instance?

Will you ever create a legal entity for beehaw? Having a legal entity with a proper organization would allow you to have a dedicated bank account with proper ownership that is less susceptible to corruption

I also think you could try to get a corprate sponsor. You could create a rentable image on the front page that companies and individuals could rent out for a month.

Antisemitic terrorists are minorities, should we include them as well.

I don't like the term minorities because it is overly vauge and often takes on a bigger meaning than just the original word.
