Lemmiers Trying Not To Be Communist For 2 Seconds Challenge(Impossible)

3 more...

Pros: Might look cool, is cheap.

Cons: Won't be very durable, the app for it will be shitty and closed-source(probably malware), the battery will probably suck, any vital sensors won't be accurate, the screen will probably suck, and it will probably have a bad UI.

In summary: Save up for a better watch.

I say lemmiers because we are partaking in the act of lemmying

Give it to me

The best advice is just to be cautious. Obviously don't send money before you get something and make sure it's functional. Facebook marketplace is a good place to find deals if you know to be safe.

Forced Arbitration is when a company puts something in their terms of service that forced the user to go through a process of arbitration as opposed to going to court. It is always rigged towards the company who forces it, because they are the people paying the arbitrators.

North Korea did that

But you can't charge me with murder! That guy committed it too!

Now I'm no judge, but I see this as a first amendment violation. The student was expressing his disdain towards the kids in a jackass sort of way, but being a jackass isn't and shouldn't be against the law.

I'd rather not have software updates and just have a tv that accepts hdmi, displayport, and AV

And it probably won't be able to be upgraded by the user, which should be the bare minimum.

Best option though. Chromium browsers are all subject to google's wrath, and there are plenty of Firefox forks to go around. If you don't like vanilla Firefox, try Abrowser, available on Trisquel GNU/Linux, a fully libre GNU/Linux Distribution as well as from the Arch GNU/Linux User Repository.

Hopefully the government realizes that the loss of profit from piracy is usually zero, because the people downloading usually won't even buy the game

In other news, the sky is blue.

Why even have a box at this point? Just put the phone in the mail by itself, it's durable right?

Prometheus gave the humans the ability to make use of fire, while Zeus only gave the humans a lightning strike which wouldn't be usable.

If the programs were anything like this, I don't blame them. There's a fine line between child protection and surveillance.

For 250 dollars. iFixit is turning to the Apple of repair.

im pretty sure i've used his drivers one time or another across my older macbooks or in one of my usb cards. RIP to Larry, I'm sure the linux community will miss his amazing contributions.

Apple doesn't do RCS. This should be changing soon, but for now you should be using another messaging app, because everything you send is unencrypted and shittier quality

Ok this is pretty cool, I just don't know if I would trust it yet. I was actually thinking about the concept a bit ago, that I really don't know what I'm taking if my doctor prescribes something to me... I do really like the concept, though.

Install GNU/Linux > None of the bullshit

This is (almost) the same as looking at how someone types with their hands to estimate what they're typing, just a bit less more precise.

So as a United flier(haven't flown for two months, though), I know that they provide the following free:

  • a selection of locally hosted movies and TV shows
  • RCS, iMessage
  • Internet messaging services like meta messenger and snapchat(I can't speak on more niche messengers like Jami or any forms of XMPP

You have to pay extra(or sign in with t-mobile) to get in flight internet access.

I hope that this means that you'll get unrestricted internet access for free, instead of only a few apps and services.

This depends on which iMac it is. If it's an Intel iMac, it is slightly easier, and if it's an Apple Silicon iMac, it will be a bit more difficult. If it's a Silicon, you'd need to use Asahi Linux, or have varying support. If it's Intel, I'm pretty sure it's similiar to installing on a PC, but can't say for sure. I'll look into it more

A Compilation of the Games I've Found

  • Tremulous (and forks)
An asymmetric multiplayer game where you can either play as an alien or a soldier hunting the alien. Forks are Tremfusion and Unvanquished, with unvanquished being the most modern of the three. Tactical but not quite in the way I'm looking for

  • Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory and ET:Legacy
ET Legacy is a client for ET, and it brings modern features to it. Both are pretty fast paced and not very tactical.

  • Übergame
It looks pretty good for a libre game, and looks to play good too. About as tactical as ET.

especially remote ai that relies on google's servers, because it's not even impressive anymore.

Anyone else remember Google(Alphabet)'s "Project Loon?" It was just like this but it failed.

never knew about this but I'm definitely going to start using it

It's just a preference, I prefer downloading from GOG, without the DRM or proprietary clients. Edit: I know steam has an open source command line tool

I've always thought that was a more exclusive US government thing

yeah it just won't let me in on firefox at all, i had to use chr*mium 🤮 in a vm to get in
