Dude these sprang from Mesopotamian/Egyptian necropoli. This is a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern tradition springing from Egypt and Summer.

It's like they haven't studied history or read any 40K.

Wait Catholics; nevermind. They didn't read the room with Luther, and he was friendly.

Considering Catholic practices only the stupidest adherents would. You betcha they pulled a bitch Roman Catholics hated out of Syria to enshrine in Rome 50 years after the fact; during a civil war.

When Luther brought that up it started a global trade/religious war that last over 100 years.

Ideas are a life and death matter since people are willing to kill over them. Never underestimate the religious, they are as dangerous as they are stupid.

It really isn't. Punk is what fights this shit. This is Authority.

What do you think the Imperium was modeled after?

These are pre-Christian Imperial Roman catacombs. The important part is the Imperial. People seem to forget that Rome was Authoritarian, and extremely, homicidaly so. Both pre, post, and during Constintine (hell Constintine was as well).

Hell yeah it does. Why do you think the religions that used it did so well?

The introduction of gators into the Alps would certainly garner attention.

Tipping was never the problem, subsidizing owner profits out of worker pay was.

Tipping is freedom of expression for the customer. Wage is the obligation of the employer.

If it isn't a living wage the company shouldn't exist. Full stop.

So looking at the article it seems to be against small scale traditional (fission/boiler) systems. Which are fair game. They were pretty much outdated over 50 years ago. I would be more interested in studies on dispersed Thorium Reactors which held far more potential as little as a decade ago.

That comes later but I like the energy.

Yep ended last fall.

Here's the new agreements.

Long story short: they won and got most of their demands met due to reality tv not pulling in the views it used to.

Thankfully skippable logos and SRS are standard now. Devs won that round.

The Onion; those MFs are from the future. Satire is just the cover.

The best jokes touch a deep truth. This one at least strokes the surface.

It's literally a pay to win skin due to it's low visibility, slim hitbox, and the fact that the package it's part of has to be purchased.

If you are against pay to win this pull is a win, all be it an extremely limited one.

Waiting for my windows to defrost mostly.

I could scrape them clear, but when it's -15 with 10 mph wind I'm good waiting for 10 mins.

It's an industry that had recruiting issues before Reagan poisoned the well. I don't know why anyone would want to work as an ATC right now especially with govt shutdown as an ongoing issue.

Even funner fact you can block all of it with Firefox, uBlock Origin, and NoScript.

You do realize that the National Guard is an Armed Service branch right? The major differences between the National Guard and Army is that they aren't an active duty branch and answer to the Governor of their respective States. National Guard units were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not some good ol' boys in military surplus equipment.

If this actually turns into a gun fight it going to be US Military attacking US Military.

Oh well. Youtube is useful as a podcast/streamer host now; no ads with sponsor block/ublock. Once that isn't the case they (Google) will get network blocked.

No real loss to me. I tend to prefer local download/host for convenience. Most channels are chaff anyway.

And yet due to practice and training you will do more of it that anyone else.

The race is only the record, not the construction.

Attention span has nothing to do with it. One of our political parties (Republicans via PACs like the NRA) has relied on Russia for a ton of funding for about 20 years.

Ukraine has impacted that party's fundraising making the war a positional issue, especially since the party is dying with Boomers.

I mean that's something that's been happening for decades in New York City. They regularly provide bus tickets to California/Florida as a means of reducing their homeless population.

Both options are pretty awful methods of dealing with vulnerable populations.

I've been kinda looking at purchasing an EU made EV. Even with the Import Tariffs it's about 20-30K cheaper than US equivalents due to lack of dealer fees.

A lot of people were laughing at the eBussy(XBUS) on here a few months ago but I just kinda though it looked cool and was surprisingly affordable.

Damn right.

Most likely pig. It's liquid and gets pumped up in trucks like this.

If this in a region with pig farms they probably have plenty to share.

Andrey Vinogradov - Traditional Hurdy Gurdy music. It's got a sound all it's own.

For anyone like me wondering why NE states like Maine and Massachusetts are pushing them despite their cooler temps (and heat pumps poorer performance in said temps) it's down to the lack of existing Natural Gas infrastructure and that heat pumps are still significantly more efficient and emissions friendly than the region's legacy heating method: oil furnaces.

Minimum prep: peanut butter toast with banana slices.

Little prep: fried eggs with toast and preserves.

Both are super easy to make and only take like 5-10 mins. It will take longer for the coffee or tea to brew.

Haruki Murakami is probably the best fit for the time limit you've requested as his first book was published in 1979, he's considered to be one of greatest living authors, and Kafka on the Shore is a classic.

That said my nomination would be Brian Jacques. His children's series Redwall is a long running classic on par with Winnie the Pooh and Alice in Wonderland.
