there's no cable now, just two connectors stuck together

Yep, unfortunately the only thing that matters is the current SCOTUS interpretation of the Constitution.

the misogyny is that this language groups women together with children as less capable, weaker, defenseless but for the actions of men

Separating Starlink from musk as much as is possible, it's been a great service for me.

My only other option where I live is 20/1 DSL from CenturyLink, a company which, for me, has been far worse to deal with than Xfinity. The 20/1 service wasn't even that fast when tested. If one device in the house managed to get a decent download going, the uplink would saturate and prevent pretty much any other traffic.

Starlink meanwhile has been a huge improvement at 120/10 most of the time for me, and very reliable. I pay $120/month.

There's zero chance any service provider is going to run better corrections out to my neighborhood, the line of sight service options are not in my line of sight, and cell service is a joke.

it says right there in the title: you

and surely none of this would have happened if the baby had been properly armed

One reason is to avoid card transaction fees. For smaller companies providing often expensive services, like tree felling, they'll pass on the card transaction fee to the client or recommend they just pay by check to avoid it.

Q.E.D. op is a coconut

If you are looking to return relevant, well ranked results based on freeform queries you'd be better indexing into something like elasticsearch. Otherwise you'll be reinventing solutions to well understood problems, like stemming as a very basic example.

You're a series of tubes!

all these comments discussing ukraine wartime internet, or poorer communities in south america. meanwhile, i have zero interest in musk, but starlink has been a fantastic Internet option for me in rural US.

my other options are borderline unusable DSL, or a couple of line-of-sight wireless providers which would require cutting down who knows how many trees to even have a hope of connectivity.

there are a significant number of people living in this area, but no decent wired or cellular internet options and despite my state getting a large federal grant to improve internet speeds, I have zero expectation it will be improved for me.

and you might think their TVs would be ok, but search for "Samsung TV vertical shadow" or some variant and find endless results for failed LED strips or power supplies. trash.

And if you fold it 7 times it becomes a convenient 0.15625" device

I think they'd be more likely to feel distressed at discovering the opposite had occurred

Sure, but by making that decision George also had to accept he can't install the latest version of Chrome. Maybe George is ok with that, but OP isn't.

and if you're working on a site with a ton of subdomains, sharing the local/session storage data between them is a pain when compared with cookies.

Based on things I own, cycling leggings and motorcycle pants both tend to have wind proof, water proof front panels and at least some breathable rear panels to allow for, as you mentioned, getting rid of moisture.

And last time I bought cycling shorts, basically the top part of leggings I suppose, the more expensive ones were made from more panels allowing them to fit and flex better.

but is it powerful and pipelined enough?

there's a multitude of other brands and types of non dairy milk, all slightly different, try a few of them. and try them in cereal not just straight. I don't care for any kind of milk on its own, but cashew or oat milk in cereal is great.

This morning was getting rid of a little more of the twenty year's worth of pine needles and dead branches the previous owners of our house left us. Every little bit we get rid of makes us a little safer in the event of a wildfire. After the trip to the transfer station I'm now enjoying a cold beer and doing a little reading while my gf has her book club meetup. Later, sit outside with the cats, chat. Then the daily struggle to decide what to make for dinner.

good point, but don't you worry, they'll keep raising the retirement age to stop lazy moochers like this from just sitting around when they could be generating revenue!

And that screenshot appears to be the Google Messages app

so what you're saying is...we could make an even cooler door out of these trees.

I use it, it's my only serious option where I live and works surprisingly well. as for my other options - the literal garbage tier DSL is unusable, the line-of-sight wireless providers would require removal of a bunch of trees and likely still wouldn't work well, and 1 bar of cellular is a joke.
