Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm getting old. But I want to order through a person. Not a touchscreen and not AI.
I feel like society is slowly removing humans from our everyday interactions and I don't like it.
Things in general used to be made to last / hard to break.
It's up to us to keep watching the WNBA to keep their salaries raising
Palworld, I played an hour or two and thought it was fun at the time. But just haven't gone back, leveling felt like a chore instead of a grind
I just genuinely don't understand why people think it's necessary. I use Prime once a year and it's when my boss gives me a gift card for Christmas. I guess I just don't understand what the typical person is buying every single month from Amazon to warrant a subscription - I know 1 or 2 people buying cat litter every month and having it delivered, but why? Just go to the store! I love in a rural town and I still trek to the store. Maybe if you have mobility issues or something but I just don't get it. Probably just the anti-consumer in me.
Say you love me... sometimes it's hard to tell
Inscryption!
The Bird. Movie about one bird being a bird doing bird things.
Finally finished Inscryption! Would recommend
UnitedHealth stopped their contact with UVM Health Care in 2024. I work remotely in Vermont and United Health is the only option at my company. Big shoutout to UnitedHealth for being the worst health provider, big big big EFF YOU. Record profits in 2023 and you couldn't renew a contract with a nonprofit network.
Gemcraft - was a game I found on Kongregate back in the day & I still find myself going back from time to time to play. Almost all tower defense games are underrated!
Trying TemTem. Palworld made me realize I never even tried TemTem!
Just started Remnant 2, very excited to get deeper into the game!
Awesomenauts is still my most played Steam game. Was insanely fun at its peak
Murder By Numbers was so fun, hope more people try it
It's truly scary how minimum wage hasn't changed
We moved from S drive to SharePoint and I honestly don't know why
I bought:
Heretics Fork, very fun little indie game
How is Dropout?
Across The Obelisk, love me a roguelike deck builder
Trying out CrossCode. Looks like a fake MMO esque game? So intriguing
Eli, was a fun scary movie. Not sure where all the hate comes from
McSkillet burrito, so yummy :(
Not playing yet, but I am SO excited for Remnant 2. It's one of the few 3rd person shooter games that I stuck with.
Heretic's Fork isn't too bad either!
A Cure For Wellness
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
I haven't played with friends and am quite enjoying it!
Love your organization! We are struggling hard with that, we have a lot of littler games and idk where to put them.
Just got an employee, things are going well. Just trying to copy the good things other managers do
Workwise:
Do not make a 30 minute meeting with me if it can expressed in a few sentences via email.
If you are trying to rely information to me via email, keep it simple. No need to write a novel to essentially tell me the new data will go in production next Wednesday - just say what's happening and when. 1 sentence.
Seltzer was my go to for awhile
Adding onions to a mcchicken is impossible through a touchscreen. Can easily be done if I talked to a person
Jump In The Line - Harry Belafonte. I think it was because of beetlejuice!
Mayo then
First game I've been excited for in a long time!
I just started playing with 2 friends. I'm not too upset there won't be more content (though I know that going in unlike the OG players). What really bothers me is there are easy updates they can make to create a better user experience. The UI doesn't feel crisp & the animations can be sped up (or skipped) for starters.
I worked for McDs in high school, around 2008. Big Mac meal used to be $6.08 with tax, $1 menu used to be $1.06 with tax. I went the other day and was shocked to see how much everything costs now plus I have to order via a screen (which I find bizarre, but maybe I'm just old now).
I also feel like working there used to be kind of fun. I'd take the order from the drive thru/take the money, kitchen would secretly prioritize drive thru orders (everything is timed), and window person would get the order together. Now it seems like they take 1 or 2 drive thru orders at a time and make the line wait until those are done.
Seems like fewer people working & prices went up - and I'm sure those poor folks working are making minimum wage. It's just sad all around.
