I play it with my spouse. Really helps with the long distance times.

I can imagine you can do dual inputs? So technically 480w?

I can't fathom a good reason for 4TB SD cards.

Most cameras have CF Express which is probably 5-8 times faster.

Even UHS-III is 600MB/s while CF Express Type B is hitting 4GB/s.

Even so, why would you risk 4TB of data on removable storage.

CF Express is also running PCI-E. This article isn't talking about SD Express.

You can call me a shill,

But I just get an Anker Prime 27,650mAh battery bank because it supports 140w PD.

Lasts my wife and myself a 4 hours flight with maybe 30% left over.

I got it because it can charge my laptop as well.

Steam deck is 40Whr and the battery is nearly 100Whr.

So you'll get 2.5 times longer playing time with it.

Isn't it more expensive to execute someone vs a life sentence?

We should do another penal colony. Like Venus or something.

Lofoten Islands near the equinoxes.

We did a trip during the spring equinox and while things were still not cheap, it was not crowded and you have 12 hours to explore the northern lights and 12 hours to explore the islands.

A little snow on the ground still bust safe to hike a little.

The fall equinox you could definitely hike while it's not crowded plus it's warmer then.

Gotta issue them a NIST 800-88 certificate and you're golden.

It's also Wifi AX which I've hit 600mbps with my phone.

Buttttt it's wifi AX for 5ghz only.

Bitwarden Premium is $10 a year. Less than $1 a month.

Bitwarden also has a free tier.

If you build it, they will come.

We've built a little urban utopia for our pollinator friends. The little guys just started popping up when the flowers started blooming.

I'm at 208RB raw, but actually only have 120TB in active use

Yeah I agree. I have a drive running Ventoy and that's about it.

Also if I'm moving a lot of data. I'll use a NVMe enclosure to speed up the transfer instead of network.

We don't mention West Taiwan, tis a silly place.

Woah, which countries?

I've traveled quite a lot and no one has even bothered me about my size.

I mean we do right?

Trains are typically 2 x 4 bogies.

But then high speed rail have fewer wheels due to friction.

You got a friend to host with?

I have an off site backup with a friend, but I've never tried streaming from them.

Two train of thoughts. Making something 1:1 ratio is a true "macro" lens for photography. Because you're increasing the size of the object to match the size of the sensor.

Then you got microscopes which makes things much larger than life.

For which manufactures call it what? Probably all marketing, but this makes the most sense in my life for justification.

Also Micro lenses are also used for marketing for CCD and CMOS sensors.

During lunch time, I used to be able to switch to 3G and get a healthy 50mbps when it was 1mbps on 4G. This was before 5G so I think it's mostly solved now.

They need to raise gas tax to offset EVs, ergo, higher gas prices!

I may have missed it, but as of now, framework doesn't offer the controller board by itself just yet.

Knowing them, it's probably not too far away.

I got an Intel 12th Gen laptop but wanted an AMD 7040 gen CPU. I was going to live overseas for a while so shipping laptops via air is questionable.

So I bought the 12th gen and then a year later upgraded the main board. No issues other than VeraCrypt being annoyed.

Actually for cropped sensors it'll still be 1:1 but "cropped"

You can get more magnification if you use extension tubes or specialized lenses.

If you're okay being in the EU, I use Ionos. €1 a month with a IPv4 address and no contract.

On the US side, Oracle has a free tier for 2 arm CPUs. You could load balance between them, but they're still kinda slow.

Either of these you can test for very low costs and see what you enjoy.

I'm using yubikeys. Works fine on Linux and Android.

You can upgrade literally everything on it.

They just released a new high refresh rate screen for the 13 inch. I'm seeing if it's worth buying.

Wonder if the old display can be used as a portable monitor? I would assume so.

Could you have zoomed into the live view? I found that it helps a lot. But the camera would be to support it

Optional how so? It's a rotating key. Unless you have all of those keys to export into your computer, then you'll be stuck with the current synced key.

Just so you know

R5 5700G

128GB ram

2 x 20TB disks

2 x 4tb NVMe

Idles at about 60w.

You should look into the RTX 6000 or higher to utilize vGPUs.

Here's the full list.

Not fully supported but it's possible.

And also get into proxmox. You can pass through part of your GPU into a "desktop" environment and also have another VM(s) running in the background. That way you can use your computer as normal with a type 1 hypervisor in the background.

Also get a mobo with 2 NICs. The fewer pcie cards you have the lower power draw.

My NVMe idle at 7w and my HDDs idle at about 15w I think. 45w is just for storage.

How the fuck did you do that?

From my understanding, passkeys is supposed to be something you have (phone) and something you know (pin) or something you are (biometrics)

I still use hardware keys like a yubikey (something I have) and my normal password via a password manager.

Strangely enough, the new ones brought it back. The old ones never had them.
