Most of these states banning pornography and asking for ID are Republican , conservatives States. It is very ironic that the government is now doing the job of the parents. First , she is just reading "tweets" from a republican Jim Jordan who is caught numerous times lying , second she also seem to support the "side effects" of the vaccine without providing actual proof of where she find that information , and how many doctors made that study? I would not trust her at all. Also man look I truly believe in Freedom of Speech and you not are being censored if Facebook doesn't like your content. Its their serves , their internet , and its free so yeah they can do pretty much whatever they want. So use the technology available to share your thoughts , use free and open source software and host your own website so you can share with the world your opinions and concerns. You are not being censored you are just not taking your data into your hands.

Good advice or also just host your own instance will be a great way and its very simple to do that I feel anyone with some technical knowledge can do it by using Yunohost.

1. Buy a domain using namecheap or cloudfare.
2. Rent a VPS on Linode, Vultr , Digital Ocean or Hetzner
3. Install Yunohost from the official website and be sure to install Debian 11 and not Ubuntu thats the one recommended by Yunohost developers.
4. Once Yunohost is installed , set it up , add your domain , add a DNS record to point to the the server public IP.
5. Now just installed Lemmy app from the Yunohost app store and thats it now you have your own lemmy instance.

It is really stable and the look is awesome for new comers to Linux.

You should use Tinymediamanager , its an incredible program that can download metadata from TMDB , IMDB , and other sources. It can also organize and rename every episode and movie. They have a paid version and its totally worth it.

I dont install aps from the play store , and what's wrong with wanting to not see ads or my data with Google? The less data they can have from me , the less the ads are relevant, the less likely to work in me.

Its not enough , why do you think you card is being used again and again? You don't have backups of your data? A reset should be done every now and then to keep everything tidy.
