Back in 2019 some releases installed directly from IGG-GAMES contained crypto miners. They also added their own DRM to releases. Since then I have stayed away and never looked back.

The frog in boiling water is actually a complete myth. The frog jumps out when the water is too warm for it, it's not completely stupid. If the price is 'too hot' for you, jump out. Deezer (or any other streaming service) isn't forcing you to stay subscribed.

The r/piracy wiki died when I stopped updating it which is a shame, I used to recommend it to everyone. Now I pass them onto FMHY or awesome.

Best of luck with your endless tech support anytime something doesn't work.

For me, Plex or Jellyfin is great if I want to share my library with some friends or family, especially non-technical people. Kodi really needs tinkering and you need debrid subscriptions and requires more local maintenance. It's great for me but I wouldn't want to teach my family how to use Kodi and me having to fix it when it breaks.

The Amber Room on Telegram is the spiritual successor to The Trove that is actively updated. I can confirm it does have the World of Darkness books.

You can but you don't need to. All they really do is organise everything. Any requests go through Prowlarr/Jackett which do the API calls then push that to qBit. One could argue you should put Prowlarr behind a VPN as well but it depends on the trackers you have in there.

No one will give you one. Music trackers are more difficult than average to get into and harder than most to maintain ratio. I wouldn't risk my account on it.

You can give this script a go though to download from Dezeer or Tidal from Lidarr

An Nvidia Shield Pro is hands down the best but it is much more expensive. Slap a third party launcher over the top and use it for streaming Jellyfin or Stremio or Kodi or whatever floats your boat. Super responsive and is android-based so you can sideload whatever you want. It also has the most compatibility with most codecs so you'll be able to direct play more through Jellyfin rather than transcode.

There isn't an alternative to it at this time. Although, it's not up to Kemono to keep content updated, it relies on the users for the site to pay for the content and then share it. It's not their fault if the content you want to pirate is missing.

I'm sure your aware but for people who aren't... Only changing your DNS doesn't hide your traffic, only your DNS query. They can't see you are resolving 1337x.to but they CAN see you access 104.31.16.118. This is why a VPN is important as it stops your ISP from seeing all of your traffic.

A small whiteboard on the fridge perhaps?

This is really good. If you VPN to Nigeria it only costs $2.70 a month.

It has a really easy to use User-Agent switcher so it can fake being a different torrent client. I'd love to use it however because of this it is a pretty much universally based client. It is possible to do on other clients however it isn't a dedicated menu in settings.

hallowed is the internal release group at MTV. Their aim is to produce highly streamable (think Plex/Jellyfin) but still high quality encodes. They also always include English subs and dual audio for foreign films. The quality of their releases are good but very few as they only started releasing under that name about 5 months ago.

However, if you are gunning for highest possible quality/bitrate (and file size) you can get, go with releases by CtrlHD, MainFrame or W4NK3R.

It's much easier than trying to play the private tracker game if you are willing to spend a couple of dollars.

It's not possible to 'not upload'. While you are downloading, you are simultaneously uploading. If a rightsholder or copyright troll is monitoring a torrent, they don't care home much you have downloaded or uploaded. If you're in the swarm, that's good enough.

That sounds a bit suspicious to me.

Start by using MakeMKV to rip the dvds onto your pc and then use Handbrake to decrease the size even further.

If you need to throw in the towel on email self-hosting, don't be ashamed. Mail servers are one of the more difficult projects to run. If you do end up outsourcing this, I recommend SendGrid, it's reliable and free.

My Prowler stats over the last 90 days are ~1600 usenet grabs vs ~40 torrents. Definitely worth it not have to seed and constant gigabit speed.

MaM is definitely not for movies and tv as OP request, only books. You can get invites here though for other entry level private trackers.

You could try a search aggregator such as qbittorrent search or snowfl.com

According to the Kemono telegram channel, there isn't any site that does this unfortunately.

I'm on Jellyseerr awaiting the day that Overseerr receives its decoupling update to allow Jellyfin servers.

FraMeSTor is the internal group at BHD. EPSiLON was previously releasing on PHD but left a couple years ago. They release to TL but are not nearly as active as they once were.

I prioritize FraMeSTor, and they have more releases post-2020.

In terms of cents per stream, Tidal definitely compansates the most at 4x more than Spotify and 10x more than Deezer. Plus if you VPN to Nigeria on account creation, it's only $4 a month. You can then use tidal-dl to download music and you can use *arr Scripts to download music using Lidarr.

Sorting a music library is a very manual process. Your best bet is MusicBrainz Picard to clean up your metadata then use something like Lidarr and Lidarr Extended to maintain and continue to add to your library.

I've used Joplin and Standard Notes. I do use Standard Notes premium and I much prefer it.

Gofile, Pixeldrain, Fileditch, Filen, Files.fm, Mediafire, Mega, MegaUp. I'm sure the list goes on.

The easiest way is to look at your Installed apps through F-Droid as it will show both apps installed through F-Droid and apps from the Play Store that are available through F-Droid. You can copy-paste each source link into Obtainium.

Yes, you only have to turn it on for account creation. Turn it off when inputting payment details.

I found that Geek paired with DrunkenSlug served me very well for new and old content.

Cloudflare with CloudflareDDNS

I use it in two different ways. If I am using OIDC (e.g. Audiobookshelf), then I will only use Authentik. If I need to use a proxy outpost and pass those credentials to the server (e.g. Navidrome), then I need to use NPM to do that.

Once I used Kodi with real-debrid, I don't want to go back to streaming torrents. It is much faster and much more reliable.

My setup is a Shield TV Pro using Kodi with the Jellyfin plugin then use Umbrella for anything I don't have locally. Gave my family a Firestick with Jellyfin and then they can request through Jellyseerr which then feeds through to *arr stack. I don't mind if I have to fix my end but I don't want to fix theirs.

I feel like the natural progression here is to SquidBoard.

Usenet > DDL > Private > Public

Usenet is the easiest to automate. I can set it and forget it. For DDL, I use two private sites so I know the quality of what I'm getting. Private I need to worry about ratio, but quality will be more controlled than public.

You can simplify it way down to Kodi + RD and have your own streaming service. This looks more like a hobby though to get every little thing just right.
