This is a recording.
Last month I got stomped on by a coworker. My foot isn't 100% yet. I still brushed their hair at the end of the day. Some of my coworkers are horses.
This has been true for a long time. Upton Sinclair, writing over 100 years ago about improving working conditions (for humans) ended up missing the mark and the end result was food quality regulations. Now, folks are trying to expose animal cruelty but end up getting stronger protections for corporations 🤡 we just can't seem to care about living things 🙁
Judging by what I hear from the Republican-voting folks around me, unless this airs on Newsmax or OAN (etc) the people who need to see it, won't.
There is so much unnecessary advertising in my country. Billboards, commercials on a screen at fuel stations, placards on park benches. None of it has any tangible benefit to regular people. None.
This is the definition of full send. Incredible gesture.
In my mind, it is a challenge when I have to navigate a touch screen to change the heat setting on this new work vehicle 🤨
I am noticing a slow increase in conservative folks and their ability to accept climate change, and even to change themselves, bit I live in a very remote area where they depend on water and such from the land. They will still vote for Trump, tho. I can at least have a conversation with them, but it takes SO MUCH TIME to really win people over, and we don't have that time. Most of these people, i think it will be another five years before I get then on my side. At least they listen, I guess?
So he wasn't authorized to speak, but did anyways?
This is a fraud on me
Said the United States of America 🙁
Her statements about this are almost like asking someone when they quit beating their wife. Ridiculous.
It says it does not respond to antibiotics.
I don't personally have any issues with the website on mobile, I wonder if it could be browser related? I'm also not expecting perfection from something that hasn't been around very long, and never was on reddit so have nothing to compare it to.
I think you have valid points about "dealing" and "learning" and for some, that will be a turnoff. For me, it is an adventure 🙂
Rite Aid said in a statement that it’s “pleased to reach an agreement” with the FTC but added that “we fundamentally disagree with the facial recognition allegations in the agency’s complaint.” The tech was a pilot program and was only used in a “limited number of stores. The test stopped more than three years ago before the FTC’s investigation began.
Ah yes, we quit breaking the law before you found out so would like to retain the ability to do it again in the future.
All of this should be illegal, everywhere, by any entity, forever.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see in the article the reason why the stockpile I'd being sold. This I want to know.
Sounds like capitalism
You already mentioned "the obvious," and the article said it. It's about removing legitimacy. They don't really care if some of their voters are removed, they care about casting doubt on thr process. For most voters, unfortunately, this means doing this now. We already have processes in place to manage voter roles, and they work. The Republican party is only interested in killing the process. Nothing more.
This seems like a series a mishaps. If it crushed him, what would it have done to a box of peppers? It says he was inspecting sensors. Was something already going on? If so, maybe protocol needed to be different. What a tragedy.
Wow, I don't think Epic ever did anything with Bandcamp. What a terrible way to end it. What will become of the artists who use it as their main platform? I source a significant amount of my music from these artist, from that site.
meeting resistance from people who did not want to alter the iconic landmark
Well this attitude leads to not only increased homelessness, buy I guess also suicide rates 🙁
As discussed in the article, of was never really about religion. It was about rhetoric. The bar for Democrats to keep states like Iowa blue was so incredibly low, requiring only action. But none could be taken, and it will now be incredibly difficult to overcome this loss.
Hunting dogs used for hunting aren't generally part of a farm operation, and hunting dog puppies aren't expected to behave at full performance, either. It's hard to pull much from the horse statement itself, but in this context it isn't helpful and looks really bad.
I wonder how many other skulls like this protruded from the cliffs, terrorizing seafarers of days gone by? Another possible contribution to our tales of the sea perhaps?
What an amazing find.
I don't know if you are looking for meat analogues, but I got to eat hand made seitan once. Really great texture. It isn't something I see anywhere in places I tend to be so it was exotic to me. It was pretty labor intensitto make, I thought. It took a lot of water!
Holy cow, it sounds like someone told him to look on kayak.com and he got confused 🤔
I am assuming you are dealing with 1099 income. As someone who had that 15+ years ago and didn't understand some things, I really hope you understood while earning that you have to pay both your portion of Social Security, and your "employer" would pay since you are your employer (even tho it's BS in this case). I didn't and owed a huge amount of money. Over US$3k. And I was making $10/hr so that was a lot. I had to get another job to pay it. I hope you'll be ok and are happy with what you do!
The awfulness of this aside, I think it would be great to have non-US news here.
There is also the "unschooling" movement. Both of these groups are hard to work with. I was home schooled for two years, about 30 years ago, and we left because my parents had the presence of mind to realize that almost everyone involved was nuts. My mom is a teacher, I had it good, and if she chose to leave it, how bad is it for those kids whose parents don't really know?
I think you mean Bri*ish
There was a class I took in college where we would read a book and discuss it at length. The problem (for me) was that we would read an assigned part, and discuss that part, each week. I, however, read the whole book almost immediately and tried to skim relevant sections prior to class. This caught up to me when we were talking about something, and I mentioned an event that would happen very soon to a main character, but hadn't happened yet. It was an incredibly important event. I really regretted it and the teacher's face was very mixed.
I think this why it became so important for people in this camp to establish the whole grooming whatnot. To their listeners/readers, they are not dehumanizing, they are saving 😐
Gosh, Texans have no chill /s
I'm not sure that muckraker.com is a valid place for source material.
Indeed, I suspect most people who identify as Marxist would not identify as Democrat.
I always thought he was basically living it up, happy to still be a Prince. I assumed fewer responsibilities, but perhaps the pay was terrible haha.
Thanks also @piotrsikora!
I can't believe this King of Kong dude is still around, holy cow what a butt.
I'm in the US and a lot of quality, locally made tortillas come in bags with a twist tie. I just fold/roll them over and put them in the cabinet. I also eat about three or four a day, they are my bread.
Sturgill Simpson uses a fair amount of vulgar language, but his music frequently has a better message. Sometimes hidden meanings, etc.
It's good to see you posting again. Many of us are willing to do things to help out as our skills allow 🙂 Be well.
I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but I really don't like hearing about folks' medical history. Like yes, I know you have anxiety/diabetes/whatever because you tell me every single time I see you. I, too, have a condition that requires me to take multiple pills everyday for my whole life, but you'd never know it bc I don't make it my identity. I'd rather not, and I'd rather not others who aren't facing death do it. On some cases I guess it speaks to the status of mental health care in my country since it almost seems like a cry for help that I just cannot answer.
It wasn't even a negative review, it was constructive criticism.
