Hey everyone! Here's a list of phone numbers! Real, legitimate phone numbers! Anyone can view this list of phone numbers, for free!

But whatever you do, DON'T call anyone on this list, OK??

Are you able to download your purchases? I feel like the answer is "no," but if they were serious about your library being "yours" downloading your purchases would have been part of their service plan from the start.

He goes on and on about defunding the government, like dude, aren't you running for a government position??

Because that actually sells.

Man I've got all this chia underwear, is that what I'm supposed to be doing with it?

Does anyone else self-host their music? (I suppose this would also be a thing if you stream from Spotify) but my music device greatly benefits from having some form of Internet connection for when I want to update it.

I self-host, so when I add music to my server my phone sees it automatically. I wouldn't want to copy my music onto my server and onto an mp3 device, nor do I want to pay for separate internet service on an mp3 device.

What great ideas! Have you been trained in city development?

Its just a type o

Naw man, don't play games with your abusive ex. Meta can stay over there, we can stay over here. We don't need to talk to each other.

Funkwhale is interesting, but feels more like a plex/subsonic/jellyfin server than a social media place. I can't follow artists on Funkwhale and listen to their latest posts. There isn't a "feed" anywhere, it's more like a giant shared-music server (unless I'm missing something).

Howl's Moving Castle ❤️

The rule is post before you leave.

It's just a soda, lol

Waffle batter normally has baking powder in it to cause it to rise, or the egg whites in it have been whipped to make it fluffy.

Bay biscuits... probably don't have as much baking powder in them as they're pretty dense when you dollop out the dough and they don't rise much in the oven.

So while you can make fluffy things in a waffle iron, just because you make bay biscuits in a waffle iron doesn't mean they're going to be fluffy.

Silly kids! The cast iron would survive the fire! Ha-ha-haa! Now if there was a sinkhole in the kitchen during breakfast...

Who are you?

I am not disappoint.

I'M DYING

Turns out that having a hobby that you enjoy is super important to your mental health.

BIG YES. I'm happy for you. :)

True.

Don't hurt yourself, use proper lubrication.

Don't let it distort the reality of what a human relationship is like. Most of what they do wouldn't be pleasant for both parties in real life, it's exaggerated for the camera.

Don't let it ruin your in-person relationships, or job, or ability to function in society.

As long as you keep those things in mind your boundaries are your own to set.

Classic

I still use reddit when I need to ask some obscure question about some topic that isn't well represented on Lemmy yet. I don't browse or lurk anymore though. (Kind of like how some people just use Facebook for communication and not for the newsfeed.)

Check out beehaw if you're worried about missing news. That lemmy instance has way less shitposting and seems to have healthy discussion.

Between the mixed feeds on Lemmy.world, lemmy.ml, and beehaw I haven't missed any big things that I'm aware of. I have other friends on discord and irl and if they talk about a big news story it's never something I missed.

Page not found?

Are those... cheap? They don't look cheap.

Electric leaf blowers are stupid fun. When the front porch gets all leafy I'm almost excited to clear it, whereas I used to dread getting out the broom.

"Community" is a universal term, where as "subreddit" is a reddit-specific term. It's a little easier for a newbie to guess what a "community" in lemmy is versus whatever a "subreddit" to reddit is. (Is a subreddit a webpage? Is it the second page of the front page? Is the submarine section of reddit?)

Airsonic, which is a fork of a fork of subsonic. It works great for music. Video support is there, but finnecky.

On Android I use DSub, which is/was a paid app. It works great, best airsonic/subsonic app I've used (all subsonic apps work with airsonic).

When you add music to your "now playing" on your device it cashes the tracks and doesn't delete them until the cache reaches a certain size, which you can set in your preferences. So you could set the cache to 50 gigs or whatever and pre-load 50 gigs of your favorite songs from your server. Or just cache/stream on the fly from wherever via your phone's data or random wifi.

Robot vacuums are a GAME CHANGER. You can clean the whole house's floor while doing something else. You can clean the floors so frequently with ease, the floor is always clean when guests come over. Under the couches gets clean so you don't have wandering dust bunnies. It's GREAT.

You can buy cheap shoes and save money, but you're going to pay for it when they fall apart fast and your feet hurt.

You can save money and eat fast food, but you pay for it with your health.

You can save up and get the nicer car, and you pay less for it in the long run with upkeep.

They sell the pneumatic table legs on amazon and if you have an old dinner table or coffee table you can build your own. Coupled with a really long 16+ power strip you can make quite a nice computer desk. :)

I'm excited for you! If you like it, that is. There's a lot of game to enjoy, and if you do dig it you can carry over the save to the sequel. If you don't like it though, no pressure. There are so many other games out there to try. :)

Found glider in fdroid, I'm digging it. Thank you.

It's there a frontend or app or something for that site? The web interface is so dated.

Excite truck is amazing. Being able to put your own music in the game was (for lack of better phrasing) game-changing.

Thank you for the recommendations

TL;DR please?
