where it's still ok to wear a mask without ridicule

Serious question, why are people being ridiculed for wearing masks in the US? Is this generally how it goes in all of the US?

I'm from Asia and most countries here have been wearing masks even before the pandemic for multiple reasons - pollution, not wanting to spread sickness including the basic cough and cold not just flu or COVID, when at a clinic or hospital, etc. I wear a mask even when I just have allergic rhinitis just so that I don't accidentally blow snot all over somebody else. No one would bat an eye here if you wore a mask.

I don't understand the negative connotation to wearing masks and why anyone would care if you're wearing one.

So you don't have to do finger acrobatics to reach a button at the top of the screen especially on their bigger phones.

The only reason I haven't switched to Firefox from Chrome fully is because for some reason Firefox for Android still doesn't have tabs for large screen devices. Mozilla says it's not a priority. 🤷

At least 3 if I'm not mistaken.

A Gundam then. That will be $725M for the base model without Beam Saber and shield. Would you like to pay in cash or card?

Zoom already does 256bit AES end-to-end encryption. From what I understand it isn't the live calls but the files and recorded calls you save on their servers after are what they would use for AI training.

Zoom already updated their TOS a few hours ago to supposedly address the issue. https://gizmodo.com/zoom-ai-privacy-policy-train-on-your-data-1850712655

Update, August 7, 5:06 p.m.: After this story was published, Zoom issued an update to its Terms of Service. The article has been updated to reflect the change.

It's the only Lemmy app that has an actual working and usable tablet mode. Thunder's tablet mode is... weird. Everybody else doesn't have a tablet mode. Unfortunately, leading with a subscription model is terrible. Even if they're already planning a one time payment option (which they should launched with), it's already left a sour taste. I left big software that was essential for work because of the subscription model (Adobe, Autodesk) and found alternatives. Sync isn't even essential and there are multiple alternatives. Maybe not that pretty, but they're decent enough. I hope Boost does better.

I think they were naming it after the place where you print and make money and not the plant.

Teams for work or more specifically Teams from Microsoft 365 Business and other corporate plans like E3, E5, etc is different from the Teams installed by default on Windows 11. I don't think you can even message across them.

Just like all of LMG.

When I accidentally tapped on the first ad and it automatically opened a shopping app I had on to a product I have no care for. Personally for me, the ads ARE intrusive. I instantly uninstalled after that.

Get a piece of tissue paper and fold it into a thin lengthwise strip. Put it on top of the bridge of your nose and underneath the mask. No more fog.

GPU rendering and AI.

There's absolutely no reason for beta software to not be able to launch with a one time payment option. A lot of companies do this. Just look at all the early access games from steam. This is not a valid excuse in my opinion.

The Division 2. Also has raids. Just prepare for some bullet sponge.

It is, but the interface is actually much closer to Photoshop CS. For basic editing, I'd work with Krita rather than GIMP any day.

Autodesk would like to have a word.

Qualcomm and the Rezence wireless charging standard had tech that was able to charge through metal backs since 2015. The issue is it's not compatible with Qi which already cornered the market so no one used it.

Can also recommend. I have a very cheap .win domain from them. Was easy to set up and already includes an SSL certificate which some domains still don't provide.

For me it was $2.50. Paid on Aug 27, 2015.

Fun fact, that dev is still a High School student apparently.

He added the one time remove ads feature just now proving that he could have added this at the start just as easily. Your argument again is not a valid excuse.

I'm sorry citizen but the Earth Federation currently does not accept stolen reserves for test drive bonds. You may wish to contact the Principality of Zeon who may be amenable to your mode of payment. Thank you and have a nice day!

This can be set in Apps Admin Center by your Org Admins.

Weren't they using an Xbox controller for that Titan sub?
