Imposter Syndrome

When forced to make a choice between power or their principles, Reddit moderators are overwhelmingly choosing to abandon the latter.

Yes, now my twitter dms are stuck in an infinite loop

Nice try I've heard that before

I would sure like the free stuff they promised me after my past purchases

I'm so tempted to upgrade but I know I'm going to want a Steam Deck 2 in a couple years. Instead of thinking about it as the LCD vs the OLED model I need to think of it as choosing between the LCD vs the SD2. It's the only way to stop myself.

Interestingly, focus states are used in accessibility. So while this code isn't to cure cancer, it likely does improve the lives of those with different needs.

What's PoE?

I know it sounds weird but I needed a concise way to say that I know the account works fine and has for a long time.

I'm not falling for that again

Honestly I mostly just posted this to be funny but this is good advice

They give you free stuff and it's nice to save your info so you can order food for pickup when out and about.

IMO the biggest issue is separating the customer from support people too much, and likely separating the support people from the actual business too much. They throw up that stupid bot in between customers and contacting support because they don't want support people answering the same questions a million times, yet in doing so they just make the customer experience worse. And the bot does a bad job helping people with basic stuff, and a worse job of letting people get actual help from a person when the bot realizes it can't do what the user needs.

The people on Twitter told me to use the website contact form because they don't have any actual connection to the company. I'm guessing they're outsourced and can regurgitate from an FAQ, but they have no ability to escalate to someone with any power.

It's a restaurant where they have a loyalty program and give you a good amount of free stuff.

What's weird is Valve has been so good about repairability. Can't help but think there's a solid reason for the change.

I'm not sure this is something I've thought I want. It's very rare for a touch to not work as expected.

How could you enforce a ban on any kind of user data and how could such a compensation system even work?

I feel this. Some people, like us, enjoy discussing and analyzing things. We can separate who we are as people from the things we think. If someone shows us something we hadn't considered, our response is "Awesome, I just learned something new!"

Not everyone is like that. For some people, their self worth is tied to knowing things and being right. We need to be aware of the differences.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer. How do I check if my server has been accessed?

Not sure if I want to buy it to support games coming to steam or skip it after it took so long.

You're being dense, the reason is devs get burned out and you're asking them to do work for free.

Google does this EVERY YEAR

Everything old is new again.

One thing about the trade-in values: Google broadcasts loud and clear that their phones don't hold value. Their $900 dollar phone from last year is worth, according to them (!), $250-$315 today. Absolutely astounding that they admit this so clearly.

Stand with me against this injustice. I'll be the Baja to your Blast

Thanks for that hot tip

Ok but this is the last time!

What's astonishing to me is the amount of people who seem to think that because the GDPR exists -- they're entitled (by birthright I guess) to someone else's labor. It feels like we're bordering on feudalism the way people act like they're owed something from developers.

This is so dumb but so funny

Awesome. Been looking to move on from Nova, but that will be bittersweet after we've been together for so long.

Someone in that thread posted a guide for getting it working on Linux and Windows without being online.

This is honeypot security and is a best practice

You can save a lot of money with an open source CMS that has low hosting requirements.

Yeah it's the same thing. If you need to connect to a database a lot that usually is more expensive, but static site generators are cheap to host.

You sure typed a lot without explaining what the nutritional profile of chicken is or why it's not healthy.

I wonder if they'll be porting over all the ads?

Thank you. Is leaving everything behind a vpn what Tailscale does?
