My solution to games not supporting Steam Deck/Linux is to simply not buy/play it. It’s not much but it’s honest work!
I really hope Valve takes up this market with strong software. I believe Microsoft is lagging behind just using regular Windows for that.
That’s exactly how I think. I don’t care about the games that are unsupported by some bullshit reason like anti-cheat. They just won’t see me as a customer, there’s a lot of other games out there.
I actually prefer NonSteamLaunchers these days. Heroic is not working very well for me, specially for storefronts other than Epic Games.
KOF is my favorite fighting game franchise. I love ‘97 and ’98!
I hope you got it from somewhere where you can return it. This is not normal and seems like faulty hardware.
This is actually pretty cool. I’m going to try it out, even if I have no idea of what to actually play with this!
I’m playing Shinobi III right now! I’m excited for that one.
Megaman Zero/ZX Collection and Persona 3 Reload
This is pretty neat!
I’m tempted to get this one!
Mine breaks with Amazon Games frequently. I gave up and I’m using NonSteamLaunchers for that, works awesome.
I’m very bad at multitasking but thanks for the recommendations! I wish we had Peggle 2 on Steam, that actually sounds great to play listening to something.
I’m still pissed I got on Ubi store a couple of weeks ago. It’s a great game though!
It’s one of the games I missed when it came out and it’s on my backlog for a while. Good to know it runs well on the deck!
It’s what I expected. I don’t think it’s going to get much better than that. It’s playable though if you don’t care much about frame consistency.
Good to know! I remember I had issues on my playthrough of P5 Strikers, so I might actually check it out one more time even though I finished it once already.
I never played other musou games, that’s a good list to experiment with.
I finished R-Type III (1993) and played a little bit of Castlevania 2 (1987)
This seems amazing!
AND Mars 2120
I hope it fixes it then! I love the platform:)
I’ve never heard of these games, but I’m now interested!
Insanely enough, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I’m playing with friends and it’s been fun to see many concepts here that were heavily used in the industry later, even though this game is very dated.
I have no experience with that specific game, but I connect my Steam Deck quite regularly to a 4k monitor, but running that in 1080p. Some games might depend more on the CPU and can take the bump up from 800p to 1080p just fine. I suggest you playing on the monitor you like the color/brightness the most, regardless of native resolution, locking the framerate at 30Hz and enabling FSR on the side menu. Try 1080p and if you notice a performance issue, go back to 720p.
