Well I think that the main difference is that in nostr you have relays instead of servers. So in that way defederarion should not really be a thing. I don't know all the details tho, you can take a look at nostr.com if you want :)

No, it's a different protocoll altogether. Afaik the only "reddit-like" site built on it is kinda dead and I also dislike the fact that nostr is full of crypto people... But the tech itself makes way more sense than ActivityPub imo.
