I think they are clamping down and trying to force people to watch yt in Google's desired way. They have managed to stop most Piped instances via ip banning and also requesting users to "sign in to confirm you are not a robot". I wish their was a proper alternative at this point. It would be great if something like Peertube took off.

The UI that gets progressively worse with each update, ruining what was perfectly fine before. The attempts to create the audio focused equivalent of TikTok.

Wow, people are still this easily offended?

How much is the subscription for ad-free thinking? Or is it free for non-commercial use?

That's disgusting. That dude brought to light a serious security issue and is being punished for it. -_-

Erm... What am I missing about Helldivers 2? I don't own it so I'm not in the loop.

EDIT: nvm, found the answer in a different post. Probably should have looked before asking.

I used to think that hair grew when it was watered - like a plant - and therefore showering was what allowed your hair to grow. No one ever told me that, I just assumed it to be true at a young age.

Well... Isn't that ironic?

No pressure, then 😂.

Finally.

Genius.

I don't know, personally I've never liked the idea behind that app. It seems like a massive privacy risk. I know if it is open source there is less of a risk, but I still don't like the idea of people being encouraged to constantly post themselves and their surroundings.

Firefox with ublock / Libretube / Libretube with Sponsorblock / Newpipe / Piped website if not on mobile.

EDIT: I currently use Firefox with uBlock on desktop and Libretube with Sponsorblock (integrated) on android.

Eh, but at least the additional content on the news channels could be seen as somewhat useful. There is nothing useful about watching another random clip of Subway Surfers.

I'm probably the opposite and I HATE it. I have virtually no free time. And once I finally get it I can't decide what to do with it because I get bored of anything after ~30 mins. And yet it still feels like I don't get enough free time, smh.

Damn, I really relate to this. When I get nervous because I don't know what to say, I come back with one of my dreaded default responses.

This is messed up. It's like something out of a sci-fi horror film. Have to hope no one is stupid enough to put a computer chip in their brains.

Took me a few re-reads before I noticed... I need more sleep.

Hats off to whoever told the performer to carry on performing through his earpiece. People could have ended up being trampled or injured, which can obviously be a big problem at large venues.

Although I disagree with some of the points (which have been mentioned in other comments), I do wish Steam had less of a monopoly. That's not to say I blame Valve, I just think there is a lack of good competitors and people willing to budge. Epic launcher is just a joke. I only use it for the free games, which is why I assume they are giving away the games for free in the first place. Not enough people use GOG. Thankful to Valve for making proton, Linux gaming would be a lot worse than it is if it weren't for proton. But damn, make a 64 bit client already, I have to use the multilib repo because it is the only 32 bit application on my system XD. EDIT: not to mention the terrible performance on some older systems.

Not really sure what this will achieve in the long run. Sure, some mods will up their game after being shamed... but would this not just encourage toxic behaviour? People may start shaming mods just because they may slightly disagree with them as opposed to because they are bad mods. Instead of a few bad eggs, we may end up with a chaotic community of people blasting and publicly shaming anyone with differing opinions. Is this the best way to go about this? Obviously I may be exaggerating slightly, but this is just to get across a point to consider. I know you have touched on this issue already, but another thing to consider is the potential bias of mods of this community as well. This is an interesting idea and I would also like to hear other people's opinions on the matter.

Makes it even better that I'm on mobile so the text wrapped half way through a word.

Something about limits, idk, tl;dr.

Do you reckon if lemmy grows enough, we will have to worry about things like this? Mind you, the government etc seems to be a little "behind the curve".

It's basically a good knockoff of Lethal Company, made by Landfall.

Why do you think they aren't paying for it?

That's just stupid. AI is NOT ready to be used for important security applications.

Ironic

I agree with your overall point, but swearing at people and calling them evil is hardly the best way to get it across.

Today is a good day.

That's perhaps one of the most awkward things I've seen on here, and that is saying something.

May I ask which extension you are using?

Wdym I can't have my steak extraordinary?

As others have mentioned, for me I sometimes use it as just filler (part of natural language). Alternatively, I can use it to add emphasis or to exaggerate.
