I just hope people do not spam it to farm karma like on reddit.
That one was good. I also liked the one that counted how many times someone has said the n word, but I do not think the n word is allowed here (which is better).
English contractions are very hard and I have been trying to be better at them. For other users like me who struggle with English, text generators like the ChatGPT can help a lot if you ask them to correct for you and they will give you tips. Be careful if it is online one like ChatGPT though, it isn't private!
It will be interesting to see how quickly the whole fediverse gets blocked by strict countries now…
This will be nearly impossible. Popular instances can be blocked but someone can simply create a new small one each time. It is eternal cat and mouse. Censorship by the country where it is hosted however will be effective for that instance but no other.
Thank you, this makes sense. I checked what was used previously with it and it is called "gear oil" which I think is the same.
Jiangnan Alto from 1990s with five gear transmission will use motor oil instead of special fluid, yes? Is transmission fluid is for an automatic one and not a regular one?
Defederation should be a last resort when an instance is always making problems outside of itself or have illegal content. Otherwise it is better for the network to remain connected and not partitioned and for blocks and moderation to deal with problems. Respectful community members should be allowed to participate respectfully all over the network regardless of their views as long as they behave.
For example I personally am very critical of Israel, and would not want a Palestinian instance defederated, but at the same time, an Israeli instance deserves to be allowed to enjoy it as well even if the two are very likely to have different views.
