I think there's a couple of nested problems. The first problem is a manager is giving employees meth, which could have been your son, if not now then maybe one day. You know what to do about this, but it's nested within another problem, which is how to do that without alienating your son.

So talk to your son about what bothers him about what happened and what he wants to do about it. Then, after he talks, tell him how it made you feel and what you want to do about it. Ask him if that's something he would like to do, have help with, or have you do for him.

You're asking the right questions, but I think you're asking the wrong people.

To be fair, Bethesda games are a fucking train wreck at launch so this is like an article saying this is the dryest water they've ever made.

The first half of the article walks through his credentials and I'm like, damn this guy really seems like a threat.

And then suddenly,

He is accused of creating a Microsoft Word document entitled "high level secrets".

Web searches show that he consulted several spying forums on social media app Reddit

Oh no nevermind he had no idea what he was doing.

The answer: a malicious contributor added hate speech to the Ukrainian translation. ISO will cover back up once they can go through all of the files and make sure there isn't any they didn't find at first.

I want to say I've read an interview that he doesn't stop updates because he doesn't run out of ideas and the sales haven't stopped yet. Or maybe that was Terraria. Two similarly dedicated devs.

They want private progress. They want to be the industry leader in whatever it is. They're not progressing humanity, they're making a great fiscal quarter.

A crown prosecutor told the court the woman’s role in the plot was to obtain the drugs for Knudson to sell inside the prison, where a single strip of buprenorphine can fetch close to $1,000.

As said in the article, yes. Prison prices.

Disney has been involved with video games since the late 80s. Recently they were involved with Disney Dreamlight Valley and the new Illusion Island.

Uh, yeah, sure about Diablo and whatever. But, uh, what the fuck is this

I'll forget I'm a hyper intelligent demigod for a moment and slum it with you mortals over this jovial exercise.

Oh boy! The game we should have had at launch? I can't wait to get in my space ship, take off from a planet, fly to a new one, and land without being forced to fast travel.

I'm a practicing prosthetist in the US. Myoelectric hands are nothing really that new and even getting control over the hand by surgically dropping an emg directly into the muscle groups (though their diagram implies they did something different) isn't terribly groundbreaking. The FDA had that technology in animal testing right around the start of the pandemic, from what I remember talking to an engineer working on a project.

For me, the exciting part is the osseointegration through the forearm. Osseointegration has been going on since like the 90s, but for a long time it was only through the femur. The first reason is really that the West has way more lower limb than upper limb amputations which is a different story. The second reason is that the femur is a big bone with a lot of interior space for an implant to anchor.

Recently I've been seeing transtibial osseointegration surgeries being performed, which has been a pretty big deal. This is the first I've seen of it being done to a transradial.

I will definitely be reading more about this at work tomorrow.

It looks interesting, but I don't like that they're saying it's going to be a new game. I don't want to spend another $40 on what amounts to a new game mode. Fundamentally different new game mode, but new game mode.

I love this series of you touring different ports!

I know that Mugen is just a word, but to me and a lot of other people, Mugen is the build your fighting game engine with a constant twitch stream that has Goku fighting and losing to Tetris brick.

Because Guillan-Barré Syndrome causes generalized muscle weakness which means difficulty walking, speaking, and swallowing.

If you want to feel even older, FF7 Remake was announced in 2015 after at least a decade of speculation and came out three years ago. Final Fantasy is now on 16 for their main entry which means FF7 isn't even halfway through the series anymore.

It's faithful enough to 5e that my partner and I broke out the players handbook to do some long term class planning together. A couple of things are different, like buffs to frenzy barbarian and changes to roleplay feats or spells to have a more mechanical benefit.

But yes, as a long term DM for 5e, it's faithful to 5e.

Yeah, I was surprised to see Kongregate is still operational, much less had enough employees to announce layoffs.

Oh? And where do you experience communism?

The implementation is through The Magic Mirror, which is the same thing Divinity: Original Sin 2, their previous game used. So probably less inspired by Starfield.

Cassette beasts is on my to play list starting soon!

I installed Windows to an SD card and now my partner and I play Call of Duty together from bed in the weekend mornings.

This is visually impressive but with what they're showing in gameplay, it doesn't look much like 4 or 5 like I think I expected? The aiming looks like it's the 2 and 3 style of stop, hold aim, move gun. That said, it also showed crouch walking which isn't in 3. I'm curious how similar or different it plays.

My big points to hit for a remake would be an improved camo and surgery system. The original game has you pressing start a lot. Like a lot. Having a quick menu for camo would be gigantic. Surgery right now is mostly, you're in a boss fight and got hit, now pause and see if you ran out of bandages yet.

And some pretty well known recent indie games have been made in Godot, like Cassette Beasts.

This is what my partner and I call a "state's right to what" problem. The centralized wealth says that centralizing wealth is good. Centralizing wealth is good for whom, Mr. Finance?

helpful, man. this is way better than saying nothing.

The 3ds remake had MGS4 controls including third person shooting. I was surprised to see both crouch walking and first person "classic" aiming.

Host different communities based on different parts of the game. For Minecraft this could be split up into Survival, Creative, speedrunning, Skyblock, or similar. Your users already have an account and login from wherever they come from. And on top of that, you don't have to obey other site's rules, because you are the site. Seems like a good deal if you can attract the audience

My partner and I left the apple ecosystem about a year ago. We got new phones and gave our old watches, airtags, and airpods to friends and family that wanted them. It felt like it was going to be too much to give up, but honestly it's been great.

There's so much more freedom in every facet of the phone. Apple likes to give an option, a rich people option, and occasionally a truly professional tier. Leaving Apple behind, I have wireless earbuds I love that have an 8hr lifespan out of the dock. They were fifty dollars and they sound easily better than airpods. It felt like it would be expensive to leave, but the alternatives once you leave the ecosystem tend to be cheaper pound for pound.

We've been playing DMZ on the newest one, yeah. Graphics settings are on the preset second from lowest and it plays fine.

Though it's technically inferior, I love the art style of the spectrum port. The character sprites are almost inked on like a Tiger Handheld. The backgrounds are too distracting in a couple of levels, but it does look nice in its own way.

jmcrofts is a legend. You can catch him on the front row of major tournaments with a bottle of Malört.

I'd call Rock Slide a buff, probably. It's more correct to say it's a change or a rework, but it's not totally a nerf. Rock Slide used to cost 3 when you had Zabu, but Marvel Snap is built to not let you count on having "the card" in your deck every game. Certainly not a turn 2 Zabu every game. Rock Slide on 3 into Dark hawk on 4 is more consistent than ever. I'd call that a positive change for the deck. Some might start dropping Zabu. Probably not, but some might try it.

Or Russ with Retro Game Corps

ah yes two of my favorite games united by reading

The Internet will also tell you 80% is shit.

The refund window on the upgrade cost is shorter than most people would probably like to see, but it's pretty reasonable since it does stretch back like six months from the CS2 release.

Still, doesn't solve that there are some number of CS:GO players who have been cut from the game overnight. Cutting support for DX9 and 32-bit systems was overdue, but it's still unfortunate.

Ooh I will be checking that out tonight. I could never get the whole package of "trap edge in kiosk mode for xcloud" working.

Be careful what you wish for. We all really wanted Kingdom Hearts 3
