Curl comes to mind. Libcurl is at the foundation of almost all networking.

Since when is Deepfake Musk a bigger scammer than real Musk? The man's been selling "full self-driving" upgrades to Teslas for years, and they're no closer to "full self-driving" now than they were at the start. Surely real Musk has scammed far more people.

I feel personally attacked.

"When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it's electric cars that don't drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he'd be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, 'drop to your knees and beg,' and he would have done it." -- Donald Trump

Vote! And make Elon worthless.

The problem is they infect the rest of us.

In other words, it’s similar to a tax in that the money you earn today, by the time you spend it, is worth less by design.

Inflation does has have a positive feature of encouraging investment and spending, rather than hoarding under a mattress. The money is put back into the economy because every day it isn’t, it loses value. If money were getting more valuable over time (called “deflation”), you’re incentivized to treat it like an asset—not a currency—and hold onto it as long as you can (like Bitcoin), rather than reinvest or spend.

I think the public school system is doing just fine on that front...

The problem is the only alternative (on phones) is handing over all my data to Google, the world’s largest ad company. I’m not sure that’s better…

Desktop is easy. Install Linux. But on phones, there’s 2 bad realistic choices.

I’m sure whistleblowers would come forward… if they weren’t mysteriously killing themselves in the middle of depositions.

It really is a good system that's super easy and builds confidence in the election through online tracking. No wonder Republicans don't want it in their states.

Even though I disagree with Haley’s platform, I believe she’d leave office at the end of her term. I believe she’d accept the result of an election she’s lost. I believe that she’d behave with a level of decorum appropriate for the office.

So she’s immediately better than Trump simply by not being a fascist monster. Even if the dems lost to her, I wouldn’t have to worry about democracy suddenly ending or concentration camps for immigrants or nuking random countries and leaving NATO or her encouraging everyone to inject bleach and take horse de-worming pills, at least for 4 years.

I have a Brother laserjet I got on Amazon for $70 10 years ago. I print on it occasionally, and it always works. That thing has never needed new toner. It never jams. It just keeps going. Highly recommend finding a basic laserjet model from that brand.

Downvoting.

We can surely find a better source than Fox News, which has admitted in court that it knowingly lies to its viewers.

Remember when Jan 6 nutters stormed the Capitol with guns and zip ties and nothing happened to the person inciting all of it?

Charitably, I think from the context that Trump was saying "you won't have to vote after this election, since I won't be running and I don't give a shit about you or anyone else that comes after me."

But less charitably, this motherfucker instigated Jan 6, and he'll absolutely try to overthrow democracy again. Fuck this guy.

Why in the absolute fuck does this website have 800+ partners that need to track me? And more than 500 partners needed for "security."

Just tried out the nav for bikes across town to see the route it picked. It used the same route that Google Maps did, which is a death trap with 55mph cars, blind hills, and no bike lanes. I see no way to report the issue in the app, either.

(Strava chooses the correct, safe route which uses protected bike lanes the whole way)

I believe in the rights of the individual, which is why I support free health care, education, and housing for all, so that every individual has a chance to succeed, no matter where they come from.

"No, not like that."

The reason states have more powers than the federal government is to test different methods of government and see what works best, then apply those lessons everywhere.

Turns out the red states consistently wind up much worse than the blue states. But they're so brainwashed and poorly educated, they don't learn from observing better outcomes elsewhere.

Step 1, Download Firefox. Step 2, install uBlock Origin. There is no step 3.

I want to see ads featuring Vance's "America's Hitler" quote running 24/7 until the election.

It took 2 years and an expansion before it was no longer “early access,” and as soon as it was actually good, they announced there would be no more updates.

We're about to start the Treason Trials. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiberius

Overwatch 2 was a train wreck from day 1. I hope Blizzard has a come-to-Jesus moment where they start focusing on the actual games, players, and fun instead of how to maximize battle pass sales.

But tying bonuses to products penalizes the little guys for management derailing the project to begin with.

Damn dude, touch grass.

I understand it since switching to vertical tabs via Sidebery. You can organize them into panels/groups/nested hierarchy, and tabs are only reloaded when you open them, so it's not as if you maintain 7k tabs in RAM. Think of it more like bookmarks that are actually organized and useful. It's what bookmarks might have been if not for Pocket.

ok boomer

Don't forget the threats against the judge and his family, the jury and court staff. Needing a gag order just to keep people safe from intimidation should count for something.

Of course the author of the law assumed that Americans would never be stupid enough to put an obvious, convicted felon and fraud into the presidency, but here we are.
