Dah-ta in a day-tabase.

Can anyone ELI5 this to me? Arbitration is a big scary word that I don't understand.

I got a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night.

But also so many more.

Dues Ex transcends most media.

Not enough people understand how great of a show Bojack Horsman was.

I'm still running 4.20.0 like a gangster

If this gets updated and ported to Linux, I'd switch. Until then, Sayonara Player is still the best I have found on Linux.

My understanding is that due to X11's design, all running GUI apps can "see" all the other apps. If you're running a malicious program in X11, it can easily snoop what else you are doing, log your keystrokes, etc.

Wayland solves this through better design.

Not a chance. We have several more years of x86 dominance.

Split up something like Puppy or Damn Small Linux across them all.

Build a PC with 15-20 floppy drives and insert and mount them all.

Boot Linux off of all the floppies.

I'm kinda.... not ok with this?

I work with a few who prefer the office over work from home. I think they need a way to escape the house/wife/kids and the office is the only quiet place they have to work.

I wonder where JetBrains Fleet is at, too.

I am happy there is more competition against VS Code. But I already have my forever-editor (Neovim).

you know, basic stuff

Anecdotally, I have been using my L5 for almost a year now and haven't had complaints of call audio quality once.

Even without this context, I have seen an unfortunate amount of right wingers blaming feminism for things.

Mental gymnastics.

I've seen very little negativity on Lemmy in almost a year of using it.

Ashleigh, Raileigh, Kaileigh

When you highlight text on Medium, it pops up a little bubble thing.

I HATE that.

I can't read online without casually highlighting random bits as I go. Not sure why I do, but I do.

I don't know what to make of these sort of stats anymore. Just this morning I read something saying more people adopted Win 11 in the past month than use Linux.

Methodically cracking all of my knuckles.

I mean, I totally did pirate this game. And I'd do it again, too.

Thunderbird, much like Firefox, is the best because it's the least bad.

Genuinely unsure if you are trolling or legitimately against Palestinians.

I agree with you. Purism had this same problem at one point I believe - turns out that the Wordpress plugins that they used for their site came bundled with Google crap.

It's possible this wasn't an intentional choice by anyone at S76, but instead just spyware bundled with other components.

Both businesses should know to evaluate their dependencies for these sorts of things, but mistakes do happen. It's good that concerned community members exist to call them out, even if they have no plans to change it.

No, its going to robot hell.

Arch because why not.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate that we're on a platform supporting so many different frontends?

Gitlab. It isn't a social network but federating instances could be really powerful if done right.

I wish the Freetube app supported Peertube feeds.

Peach was basically my only character ever, but occasionally I would use Toad for the Ice level with all the whales since he could jump between the bees easily.

Fuckin love em

I have given an unfortunate amount of money to this awful company in the last year. I am sure my info is in this breach.

Sucks, man.

I feel like I am the only person not super-jazzed about Cosmic.

If people are excited or want to use it, fine. But I don't know what it could possibly add to the mix besides offering mote DE choice, and Linux already has a lot of that.

No.

Been using a Librem 5 since May, and am typing this on it now. I love it.

Except for the gifs.

And the thousands of niche communities/subreddits.

Just putting out there that AirVPN has been perfect for me for several years now. No issues.
