I am an enthusiast of Tech, gaming, food, culture, and all interesting things.

Doesn't Elon hate trans people or whatever?

Silly. Why can't we just regulated the sale of ammunition and gunpowder?

David Rosen of Wolfire Games (Receiver, Overgrowth, Lugaru) is alleging that steam reps have threatened to de-list his game if he lists it as less expensive on other platforms. Specifically not just steam keys but other distribution platforms.

It's not just that there are people thinking about it, it's that this is what our brightest minds in our society are incentivized to think about.

There is a joke in tech circles - if you are smart enough you eventually end up in ad tech. It's really unhealthy for our society.

Please stop confusing me.

The name of the game is to delay until after the election.

Until you get to a prompt that doesn't support unicode.

Brother, I got news for you. If you are feeling bi-sexual yearning, it's not because you watched a movie.

Just an open source e-ink device with the build quality of a Kindle. Nothing fancy.

By keeping sign-ups open, mostly.

Lemmy.ml, to my understanding, was always meant to be a pilot instance from the devs of lemmy. Beehaw is kind of its own forum. There is also sh.itjust.works, but that has been caught up in some federation drama, and I don't think people like the name. Lemmy.world has been the right server at the right time to absorb everyone and I guess they have been able to keep up with sign-ups. Kudos to them.

A sad day for Australia. It was cool to see a lot if Australian celebrities come out in support of a yes vote.

And we love that for you.

They definitely give curated preference to companies that have had successful games on steam. I wouldn't be surprised if they have something worked out with EA.

Honestly, I wouldn't try to gotcha Valve on anything. They are a games distributor, and they will do and say anything to promote games that are selling well, and the developers and publishers behind them. They don't give a crap about games or devs that aren't selling. Nor would/should they.

This is so silly. There is no technical solution to trust. What if Russia or China want to run a bit farm? Or the US goverbment? Are you not going to trust their signatures, and face legal action i their markets? This stuff is so stupid, just be honest that you want people to watch your ads. Than we can all refuse and move on with our lives.

And people voted to roll it back, and then Elon like "oops, I didn't set the bots up properly, let's vote again."

What a loser.

16 gb optiplexes on sale for 85 dollars on eBay. Dont come with windows, but neither do macs :P

What are they talking about? Yes they do: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2378500/Digital_Deluxe_Edition_DLC/

Mind you, I am not even mad, because they are extra superflous items from DOS2, so whatever, but they definitely have at least dlc for in game items. I guess that isn't really technically an in game purchase in the same way a dark pattern loot box is, but also in a single player game it is pretty much the same thing.

I am really supportive and happy for what Larian has done, but I think it is kind of naive for them to be beating their chest about this. Wizards of the Coast will one day probably force them to release monetized items, or charge for extra modules. I don't think they will be unfair about it, but come on.

Honestly, I hope they destroy each other.

Just admit defeat and vote for Jeffries. Losers.

So it's pandora now?

So they argue that they want to protect users... from epic games? Like they are going to make a virus filled app? I kinda agree people need to be protected from fortnite, but its kind if a silly disingenuous argument.

It will never go public - they are making money over fist and have no reason to participate in public capital markets. They also aren't really interested in growing. The trade off is that not everyone will be able to get a job there.

They will have to consider calling off the summit probably.

You are never supposed to be this close to a non collaborative robot during operation. Never ever. There are a ton of safety standards around deadmanning operations if someone breaches the Arms workspace. At least here in the US they are enforced through OSHA.

If this keeps happening in South Korea, I would guess it is an issue with however their safety operations are enforced. But you should never even get close to a robot like this while it is running without a light wall or something ready to trip. Even then, most places have the cells fenced off.

Seriously, how is Cheryl Hines going to stay with this guy.

Isn't the metal body going to expand depending on the temperature? This is so unhinged.

If your CEO of zoom you have to believe in the product your company makes. Its the basic requirement. When he says this, its a slap in the face to every engineer and worker who has dedicated their life to making zoom a good product.

Its like the time the dunking donuts ceo said he doesn't like donuts on Marketplace.

Are they talking about government devices? I've never seen firefox installed on a government device.

What i don't get is how nvidia stock is exploding when using their hardware for AI is a nightmare on Linux. How are companies doing this? Are they just offering enterprise support to ibsiders or something?

Yeah, while it's cool that a computer can make a story, I have yet to see one that you would think was written by a human and would want to read.

Hey, that robotics nerd was me! I hung out with the book nerds on senior skip day, they were pretty cool.

Really, a condition should be that republicans should publicly admit that it was politically motivated bs.

What, thats crazy. I bought my car certified pre-owned, fully paid it off, and have been driving it for 8 years with hopefully another 8 more to go. I know car prices have been going out of control though, whats going on?

There was just an article about this. Its not paid - its curated. There is supposedly a soft revenue requirement for the studio/publisher to be considered.

Valve really has it made. They say, you can "buy" these spots by selling a lot of games, which they take 30% of. Idk why you would mess that up.

I don't like this behavior either. But the answer isn't to start shooting. America is gross.
