You don't need to use that extension anymore, Total Cookie Protection already does the job and is enabled by default on Firefox and Firefox Mobile. Could be useful if you use more than one account, tho.

Can't access the site: "ad-blocker blocker"

yep 🤠

nice, sadly I can't block an ad-blocker blocker using an anti-adblock-blocker rule on firefox focus :/ (😝)

Or you could use some app like InnerTune and listen to YouTube Music content without ads.

I have no technical problems. The only tricky part was setting up my controller (good old PS2), as I did have to mess with emulation and things like that. In the end, I just have to run a xboxdrv script before running the game. If you have an original Xbox controller it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, if you encounter any issue: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gamepad

EDIT: If you were asking about the cloud gaming experience, it's pretty good I would say. The image will not be as good as a "physical" Xbox, and probably you will have to deal with queues depending on your location. But, overall, it's a pretty good deal.

In fact, Apple is implementing RCS in their messaging app: https://www.theverge.com/2023/11/16/23964171/apple-iphone-rcs-support

Well, that’s kind of concerning for iMessage users. Will they completely lose SMS and MMS support? What about when the iMessage or RCS servers are unreachable?

It's pretty confusing, but I don't think so. Read the last bit: "when available". SMS and MMS will be available, but RCS will take priority over them when available.

Does this mean they may not actually roll this feature out, or may yank it if they win their appeal?

Nop, it's the sideloading thing.

I don't migrate any config file, always from scratch. My setup isn't that complicated. Fedora for a long time.

GUI (mostly Flatpaks):

  • Firefox
  • Chromium (for Xbox Cloud Gaming)
  • Extension Manager
  • Flatseal
  • VeraCrypt
  • Stremio

CLI:

  • Syncthing

That's the Signal Protocol. RCS is Google's attempt to replace SMS/MMS

The only RCS implementation that has E2EE is Google Messages (well, pretty much the only one available, but anyways), RCS as a protocol doesn't have it by default, right?
