sorry for your loss

Valve is basically carrying Linux gaming. While no one should trust a corporate entity, their actions speak pretty loudly. Thanks, Valve.

Doesn't seem there is anything that they can do lol

You can't BIOS-update the battery size or the CPU node. The gains will be minimal...

Hasn't this been a standard practice for decades? An absolute nothingburger.

Cheat software developers are already releasing cheats that operate at this level. If Riot wants to combat them, it has to do so at the kernel level.

and what is their endgame? "Developers are releasing cheats that emualate a mouse. Therefore Riot needs to use a camera to record your hand"?

Lots of other companies are already using similar software to prevent cheating.

If everybody is jumping off a roof, so should Riot?

“This isn’t giving us any surveillance capability we didn’t already have.” Claiming that if they wanted to steal data, their example being a secret recipe, then they could already do so in user mode.

Isn't the whole point of anti-cheat to survey the computer? If you aren't getting anything new, then why even use a kernel-level anticheat?

Probably will trial it and then wait for sale. By the time it goes on sale, it should run better lol

Sounds about right

SD cards are irreplaceable to me because my phone does its backups into it. If my phone dies, I still can pull it out and have everything I need. And I'm not going to give my personal data to someone elses computer in a datacenter.

if only EVs remain, there won't be any problem selling.

No i can’t. There is no powerful processor for word and spreadsheet on Linux libre office is just a shadow of what MS office native software can do…

Libreoffice is way easier to use than the 40 year baggage ridden MS office with its convoluted menus that get worse with each update. I finished university with libreoffice and there were nothing it couldn't do.

No I can’t finding an executable and adding it to startup is HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY easy than to use which , where , locate , find commands

no clue what were you trying to say here

No I can’t cause ripping entire dvd with one go is easy as click and done . I don’t have to “remux” or encode or whatever I just want a dvd to be copied in folder and that’s it.

You literally are able to and you can even use the same windows software that is considered the best for disc ripping - makeMKV. It has native Linux version and does one click ripping.

No I can’t cause Linux is HARD for simpleton like me . It’s not useful for simple tasks listed above without touching command line

It's not any harder or simpler, it's just you already are familiar with Windows.

the displays are not interchangeable, most internals are completely different.

It was pretty funny seeing stuttery footage on 60fps YouTube videos without any acknowledgement from the player lol

Valve was a completely new company then. They weren't going indie, but Sierra didn't pay them for the remake of Half-Life. In the documentary they talk about financing it by creating Half-Life: Day One.

This is literally from 2015

Are you stuck in 2015?

FYI, imgur specially blocks viewing images when used with more strict privacy settings on Firefox. It even loads the title bar, but then purposefully blocks everything with a gray screen. A better image host would be appreciated!

Every once in a while, a new snapshot gets released for OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and mailing list gets flooded with "nvidia PC no longer boots" messages. Meanwhile Radeon users can't get certain positive changes in the distro because nvidia users get no-video'd from it.

Many people advise to just quit it anyways and if your family actually cares about you, they'll switch. Works as a great relatives filter too.

Almost all games are supported on Linux, with the exception of games with invasive anti-cheat, but those rootkits shouldn't be installed on Windows either.

are these fully custom?

Unfortunately Gamepass doesn't work on Linux. Well, I'll just trial it for free then.

So it's even better than before?

they have a deal with authorities only to re-transmit their AM broadcast. No AM, no FM. Prevents demise of AM broadcasts.

Isn't the whole point that china wants to implement it themselves so they would know if it's secure (i.e. has no western backdoors and has chinese backdoors)?

Usually you use the car provided by the examining institution anyways

They learned from their mistakes and didn't try to ship something crap. Also reviews helped, in part due to the fact that Windows didn't have drivers for a while after launch.

of course. I do copy my files once in a while, but my phone does app backups to the card every few days.

can't install Lineage on it unfortunately

Seems like 5G has finished the trickle down to budget phones. And it seemed so far away just a few years ago...

I'm kinda doing the same thing, expect I'm still waiting for a phone that does all of it. The problem is that my old device is usually more powerful than the current offerings, so I guess I'll wait. No hurry anyways.

This would be the perfect website for what I need if it only had a headphone jack filter!!!

the displays of the deck OLED and deck LCD are not interchangeable.

Normal stand-by drain is less than 1% per hour, for a new device or a phone from 2015. Something is very wrong for it to drain 35% overnight.

What was so bad about LibreOffice Calc? For me it's quite the opposite - Calc is the best out of the whole LibreOffice suite compared to MS Office...

if you have group admin policies, then you won't see such setup in the first place.

I thought not supporting Windows rootkits is a positive for Linux?

BTW, LoL is playable!

If a service doesn't want you, why even give them money? I'd like to think that Linux users know better.

Does the price aspect of the pathfinding penalties mean that induced demand will be properly simulated now?
