Another one I found: Which is just this I think https://medium.com/@azalben/re-can-i-drink-this-delicious-sounding-bleach-8b9db1326f9c

Granted I'm baiting it and it does say not to drink it.

I doubt the goal is to produce easily understood bash, otherwise you'd just write bash to begin with. It's probably more similar to a typescript transpiler that takes in a language with different goals and outputs something the interpreter can execute quickly (no comment on how optimized this thing is).

Part of the problem with talking about these things in a casual setting is that nobody is using precise enough terminology to approach the issue so others can actually parse specifically what they're trying to say.

Personally, saying the AI "knows" something implies a level of cognizance which I don't think it possesses. LLMs "know" things the way an excel sheet can.

Obviously, if we're instead saying the AI "knows" things due to it being able to frequently produce factual information when prompted, then yeah it knows a lot of stuff.

I always have the same feeling when people try to talk about aphantasia or having/not having an internal monologue.

Are we? Hadn't heard. Nobody is really calling each other in the first place anyway

Why is this news

That's kinda where I'm at with it. There are loads of other systems at this point which honestly probably do more interesting things with certain mechanics. Just a matter of finding which one works for your group.

Im more curious to see what this does to a group like Critical Role. Most of the appeal there is the RP anyway so it seems like they'd be fine barring any weird contract stuff.

Wheel of time was so close too. If they just didn't fuck with the script so much

Finally

Their logos are always great. Took a class on Vulcan in college and managed to snag one of these .

Should probably wear it more often but it was probably too big for me even at the time

I definitely think it would do a fantastic job of baiting out reactions and listening to what someone has to say about it after would probably clue you in on what stood out to them about it. Obviously none of these types of tests can be conclusive, but I'd say if someone came out of the theater super angry then that's pretty telling of something at least. A good starting point for further discussion with that person.

On the whole I thought the movie was hilarious and had a very compassionate message for men at the end of the movie as well.

My biggest issue after watching it has just been having to see braindead takes from people online, swinging in both directions. Lots of "the movie hates men" types but I've also seen a few "DAE, men bad?" tier takes as well which is a bit disheartening.

The movie makes it pretty clear what they were going for at the end too.

I mean wasn't the author of the book saying that's how things should be run? I had always heard the movie was basically mocking the premise of the book.

/all, top of last 12 hours has been my go-to

I believe version 555 of the Nvidia driver is supposed to get the explicit sync patch.

Also, it's not like the gameplay was mind bogglingly terrible, just some bland questing and a serviceable combat system. The main thing the game had to do to sell well imo was sell the environment and vibe which I think it did decently.

Nixos is immutable to force system configuration through the declarative nix configs/build system not to limit tinkering.

Have a Hiby r3 pro. I work from home so not a lot of reasons to use it normally but it is nice to bring on trips

I love Vivaldi but it definitely chugs with the stupid amount of hibernated tabs I've got. The new sessions thing helped alleviate that a bit since I can save a window state and close it but I definitely run into some kind of memory leak with it. (I have had like 1k+ hibernated tabs open, so not entirely unexpected that it runs into issues but I'd still think if they're hibernated they should just be stubbed out tabs in memory until clicking one turns it into a full browser process. Idk)

nevermind, im a dingus.

Been gaming on nixos for a month or two and haven't had any issues AFAICT

Yoship said during the fanfest keynote that the expansion should be kind of a vacation for the WoL (at least I'm remembering him.saying that). I mean, you can't raise the stakes higher than the death of the entire universe so you've just gotta work yourself back. They already have dynamis as an explanation as to why we were able to fight something like the villain of endwalker so it'd be pretty easy for them to say we're not as strong because we don't need to be.

Anyway I think it'll be nice to have a more relaxed expansion

All I had to do was remove one field to do with docker swarm which I don't think I was using anyway.

Worth considering holding onto the Nvidia card to do a vfio windows VM as a fallback for stuff that doesn't run well through wine/proton. It wasn't too hard to setup and its nice to just toss all the games with kernel anticheat/adobe shit into.

I wanted to try Ubuntu on a live disk back in highschool (~2012) but ended up wiping the drive on my laptop. Had to ask a friend who knew Linux for help so I could actually use it. That was eventually followed by debian and Manjaro. Later I tried arch on my desktop, got tired of that and switched back to windows for a few years. I've been running nixos for a while now and have been really enjoying it.

I feel like portal 2 can get by on a playthrough every so many years based on the writing/VA making it enjoyable even if you half remember the puzzles.

I use it with gnome on nixos without any problems AFAICT. Had the explicit sync issue with Nvidia initially but I ended up buying an rx6800 to use as the host GPU when I set up win11 with KVM. Been completely fine since.

What the fuck is the music in the video at the top of the article hahahaha. Goblin videogame bgm
